Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Translation: Convert high-level product requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
Customer Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring development aligns with customer needs and delivers value.
Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage the product backlog, balancing business objectives and technical feasibility.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with Scrum teams and Product Manager to ensure clear understanding of requirements and priorities.
Problem Solving: Challenge the status quo by identifying issues and providing actionable recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain transparent and proactive communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates, anticipating challenges, and addressing issues promptly to ensure alignment and prevent scope creep
Assertiveness: Confidently say ‘no’ when necessary, ensuring that business needs and priorities are not compromised.
Accountability: Hold oneself and others accountable for delivering high-quality work on time.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment, preferably with SAFemethodology.
Industry Knowledge: Strong background in hospitality or experience with CRS systems.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with tools like Rally/Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft platforms is preferred, as is experience with customer journey mapping tools (e.g., Lucidchart).
Communication Skills: Excellent ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: Ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions.
Leadership: Demonstrated capability to challenge existing processes and drive improvements.
Preferred Skills:
Revenue Management: Knowledge of revenue management practices within the hospitality industry.
Ecosystem Understanding: Understanding of hospitality pricing, distribution, channel management and connectivity.
