Summary of the role:
The Senior Product Manager for Emerging Markets is a critical role focused on driving e-commerce growth across diverse markets in the East Asia Pacific (EAP) and South Asia, Middle East, and Africa (SAMEA) regions. This position will evolve beyond the initial Shopify rollout phase to optimize the entire consumer-facing shopping funnel, enhance conversion, and explore franchise e-commerce models.
You’ll work at the intersection of local market needs, technical solutions, and business strategy to deliver a world-class online shopping experience. This includes leading new platform integrations, collaborating with regional franchise partners, and continuously improving the Shopify platform to meet evolving customer expectations.
About the role:
E-Commerce Optimization & Growth
Define and execute the end-to-end strategy for improving the consumer-facing e-commerce experience across multiple regions.
Prioritize and implement conversion optimization initiatives, focusing on the shopping funnel from discovery to purchase.
Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for growth and improve key metrics such as conversion rate, engagement, and retention.
Shopify Rollout & Implementation Oversight
Lead Shopify implementations in markets where migrations are ongoing, ensuring smooth project execution in collaboration with System Integrators (SIs) and local teams.
Manage the tactical aspects of deployment, including timelines, quality standards, and transition planning.
Ensure local teams are fully prepared for the transition, including training and documentation, with a focus on seamless handover.
Franchise Model Integration
Collaborate with franchise partners to design and implement e-commerce solutions that align with both global standards and regional needs.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to integrate third-party platforms for franchise-led e-commerce operations.
Ensure franchise models are scalable, flexible, and compliant with local regulations while maintaining consistency with the core brand experience.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with regional business leaders, engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure product alignment with business objectives.
Partner with analytics and data science teams to define success metrics and measure performance, iterating as necessary to achieve business outcomes.
Serve as a point of escalation during implementation and optimization phases, resolving technical or operational challenges swiftly.

Ensure franchise e-commerce operations are well-integrated and scalable while meeting localized customer needs.
Collaborate with cross-regional teams to drive a cohesive global strategy that adapts to local nuances without sacrificing efficiency.
Actively engage with local market teams to understand market dynamics and prioritize enhancements that deliver the greatest impact.
Maintain agility in a fast-paced environment, responding quickly to challenges while keeping long-term goals in focus.
Provide structured feedback to continuously improve the implementation playbook and help guide future rollouts and optimizations.
About you:
7+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on e-commerce or consumer-facing digital products.
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex technology implementations in global markets.
Technical proficiency in e-commerce platforms, ideally Shopify, and experience with multi-market solutions.
Experience collaborating with external partners and franchise models, with an understanding of integrating third-party systems.
Strong analytical mindset—able to turn data into actionable insights and make evidence-based decisions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence diverse teams across time zones and cultures.
Familiarity with regional market dynamics in EAP and SAMEA and an understanding of how local nuances can affect product strategies.
