Position Overview:


Boeing India Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) team is currently looking for Senior Procurement Agent- Information Technology to join their Global team for current position in Boeing Engineering Technology Center Campus in Devanahalli, Bangalore, India.


Ideal candidate must possess 12+ years of total experience with minimum 10+ Years into Procurement & Contracting working with Global Stakeholders handling Indirect Information Technology & Data Analytics categories.


This team seeks a highly skilled Supply Chain Procurement, Sourcing and Contracting professional.


This will be an individual contributor position in a growing global organization. The individual will partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to expand Indirect Supply Chain delivery model while ensuring service delivery excellence to all business partners


The ideal candidate shall have desired to work in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment.


Candidate is required to be flexible to be able to accommodate business requirements that span multiple time zones and may require to do occasional travel. Candidate having prior International/Global experience and working with diverse group of people and cultures.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrate   proficiency and determination in managing complex Information Technology & Data Analytics projects at all project phases, including contracting


  • Provide oversight and proactive management of supply and demand, schedules, delivery and financial performance


  • Lead the negotiation of Pricing and Contract terms and conditions with full competency and decision making


  • Prepare, Develop and Execute Negotiation strategies, Contractual documents and Binding agreements


  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve supplier performance issues and support the development of strategic supplier solutions


  • Leads proposal analysis and develops negotiation strategies


  • Negotiate all elements of contracts, and secure participation from Business stakeholders and functional support as required


  • 10+ years of experience in IT sourcing and procurement techniques, contract/subcontract management, category management


  • Prepare  and review contracts, negotiate terms, and analyze market and industry information


  • Maintain repository of approved suppliers


  • Validation and analysis of spend, identifying and reporting on variances and trends


  • Drive continuous improvement through category management of various categories within IT to include (but not limited to) Audio Visual and Video Tele-conferencing, Network devices and transport services, servers and storage, Infrastructure and Platform as a service, and Telecommunication products and services supporting wireline and mobile communication


  • Well versed in negotiating Contractual Terms including (but not limited to) Pricing, Payment Terms, Indemnification, Limitation of Liability, Data Privacy, Cyber security & Data protection and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s), including terms and conditions on supplier pro forma


  • Work with Category Leaders to develop thorough category strategies to drive value base on an understanding of business unit needs, the supply market, spend baseline, evolution, and benchmarking


  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities within stakeholder departments


  • Ability to demonstrate skills in critical reasoning, analytics and process design / development


  • Strong ability to build and maintain financial models like Buy Vs Lease


  • Strong team player with willingness to collaborate in a diverse team environment


  • Understanding of different Statement of work and delivery models in contracting (Fixed Price, . Time and Materials, Cost Incentive, Cost Sharing, etc.)


  • Support the development and execution of category plans and sourcing activities, in collaboration with stakeholders and suppliers, and deliver those plans using the appropriate procurement processes and sourcing levers


  • Build and maintain category knowledge, apply best practices around sourcing approach, supplier selection, total cost of ownership and negotiation tactics


  • Deliver business improvements and category plans and savings through planning and execution of sourcing, bid support, supplier management and risk management activities


  • Collaborate / supports with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the business objectives and create long-term value through sourcing, procurement processes and governance


  • Maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiate commercial and contractual arrangements utilizing the latest contracting tools, templates and terms and conditions, ensure required performance and contractual obligations are met, while incorporating innovative improvement initiatives


  • Strong business knowledge in relevant category, particularly around supplier capabilities, commercial models, product lifecycles and partner programmes required to deliver portfolio and customer requirements


  • Demonstrates a track record of value adding capability and deliver against key metrics


  • Effective relationship management skills & ability to influence decision making with senior stakeholders within a matrixed environment


  • Ability to manage complex, strategic and commercial requirements between Boeing and Suppliers, deliver projects and results on time and in full


  • Demonstrates effective continuous improvement skills that exceeds customer expectations

  • Strategic management skills: Strategic management skills are required to gather in-depth knowledge of the supplier market and offers insights like market size, projected growth, competitors, industry trends, estimated ROI


  • Negotiation skillsWith negotiation skills, the individual will be able to negotiate better with vendors and maintain a relationship that results in a win-win situation for both parties


  • Interpersonal skills:  This will help the individual to communicate with the internal business stakeholders and external supplier network to act as a bridge between the parties


  • Cost management skills: Developing cost management skills enables the individual to evaluate, optimize, and control all aspects of cost of the procurement process


  • Contract management skills:  Having sound contract management skills includes managing the contract creation, execution, and analysis to optimize the operational and financial performance for the organization while reducing the financial risk


  • Financial acumen: Having the ability to make decisions with an overall understanding of the financial factors will help the individual negotiate costs that fit the forecasted budget for procurement


  • Project management: Project management skills will enable the individual to apply the knowledge, skills, and techniques to execute IT projects efficiently and effectively.


  • Analytical skills: This skill helps the individual get insights and make the correct decisions by gathering timely information and resolving issues

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred.
