The Infrastructure and Automation Services (IAS) team at Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to enhance the speed of delivery for various DMP-related services. In this role, you’ll be responsible for coding and building high-quality, secure front-end and REST API/back-end components. The ideal candidate will have experience with Java, JavaScript, Angular, SQL, Spring, and Ruby(Chef). Additionally, familiarity with DevOps practices and Agile environments.
Role
• Responsible for the analysis, design, development and delivery of software solutions
• Defines requirements for new applications and customizations, adhering to standards, processes and best practices
• Work closely with tech leads for assigned projects to assist in design and implementation tasks
• Participate in proof of concepts and help the department with selection of vendor solutions, technologies, methodologies and frameworks
• Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency
• Be an integral part of the Agile SAFe discover and elaboration sessions by performing requirements and design reviews, peer code reviews and PCI security reviews to ensure compliance with MasterCard standards
• Estimate and own delivery tasks (design, dev, test, deployment, configuration, documentation) to meet the business requirements
• Triage automation issues along with other team members and conduct root cause analysis of critical issues.

• Must be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive and can function under pressure in an independent environment
• Willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities and to work as a member of diverse and geographically distributed team
• Knowledge of software development processes including agile processes and test-driven development
• Experience with the design and development of complex, multi-tier software solutions
• Competency using industry standard programming/scripting languages such as Java, Ruby, Groovy, Powershell, Java Script, GoLang, and HCL
• Experience with VMware vSphere at an enterprise level (vCenter, vRA, vRO, vROPS, etc)
• Able to do code checkouts, reviews, pull requests and approvals in a Git-based source code repository
• Understands Chef Infra / Habitat concepts and can read, modify or author chef cookbooks and Hab packages
• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex Linux/Windows systems environments
• Experience with logging infrastructure and using tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
• Can setup and optimize Continuous Integration build jobs using Jenkins
