Summary of This Role
Provides monitoring and 1st Level Support for Business Critical Services ensuring that Service Standards are maintained and quality service provided. Performs and supports operational processes across multiple environments ensuring all tasks are managed and conducted to the highest possible standards; this includes but is not limited to producing supporting documentation. Ensures that all activities are performed and supported in accordance with Corporate Governance and agreed processes and procedures.
What Part Will You Play?
- Undertake continuous service reviews, and generate ideas for improvements and implement when appropriate.
- Respond to moderately complex issues and see through resolution. Escalating to senior management when appropriate.
- Undertake moderately complex batch processing across specified systems in accordance with defined processes. Including loading client originated files and direct client communication.
- Monitor and ensure timely delivery of moderately complex client service level agreements & Non service level agreement transmissions from Global Payments, following batch processing across all platforms for Production and Verification schedules using Connect Direct, Network Data Mover and other transmission tools.
- Provide technical assistance during client impacting moderately complex issues.
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree; Relevant Experience or Degree in: Information Technology or Business related study; relevant experience in lieu of education
- Typically Minimum 4 Years Relevant Exp
- Information Technology Field and/ or Bankcard Industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong Knowledge of Mainframe Operating system (IBM Z OS)
- Experience with JCL(job Control Language)
- Familiarity in incident management tools.
- Understanding of SFTP protocols.
- 6 Years Relevant Exp
- Operations experience with CA7, Mainframe JCL,BMC or IBM suite of products.
- Willingness to work in shifts.

- Monitor and Execute batch jobs as per schedules using tools CA7 and Control M.
- Ensure jobs complete successfully and resolve issues promptly to maintain uptime.
- Identify and troubleshoot batch failure or system errors.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate team while ensuring timely resolution.
- Perform routine checks to ensure the health and stability of mainframe system.
- Monitor system performance and resource utilization.
- Maintain up to date documentation for standard operating procedures (SOP)and batch process.
- Generate and share periodic status report with stakeholders.
- Continuously identify areas for improvement in batch processing environment.
