Job Description

Job Purpose:


General


This role covers will be responsible for the Credit Administration suite for Elite (Wealth) and Private Banking under the Department.  The activities include processing all credit administration functions/activities under credit control as defined by respective business EPB Credit Policy.  In addition, the role will be responsible for participating in any transformational initiatives for Wealth Management and Private Banking including Singapore wealth portfolio.


Mandate


Responsible for encoding and maintaining all limits relating to credit facilities and ensuring accurate detailing before inputting the same into Bank’s system. The role requires day-to-day processing on all core activities such as credit and limit control for investments and all other post disbursal activities.  This also includes preparing and monitoring the daily LTV breach and complying with all necessary approval terms and conditions under FAB policies and procedures.


International Team Support


The role is responsible for servicing also the wealth business of FAB Singapore.


Business Management


As the nature of the business, the role requires an average skills on managing stakeholders and acting on urgent transactions.  Key clients to be managed are Elite, Private Banking and Key Client Group.


Key Accountabilities:


Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures


  • Follow policies, process and procedures for Consumer, Commercial and Private Banking CAD activities and ensure their implementation within the Department.
  • Comply with the governance framework within CAD including working together with Operational Risks to develop RCSA, Risk Event Reporting and control enhancements.
  • Identify system requirements both for enhancement and maintenance of current systems.  This includes identification and minimizing manual process in the department.

CAD Management


  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of Credit Administration framework and operating model.  By doing such, the role processing limits/tolerances in line with the bank’s overall risk while ensuring effective implementation of the same in liaison with relevant stakeholders to support effective management of the bank’s operations within the defined risk levels.
  • Encoding and processing of new credit applications and collaterals, transaction processing, settlements, clearances and reconciliation in order to ensure effective processing, and service delivery in line with turnaround times and standards.
  • Carry out the credit control activities, including applied interest rates, commission, charges and management fees to ensure prudent credit practices and compliance with defined internal and external policies, processes, procedures, and regulations.
  • Monitor and prepare reports such as Share Valuation, LTV, Breach of Margin and Liquidation Call
  • Tracking of all original documents and ensuring safe custody of all collateral/security documents.

Internal Collaboration


  • Works in close coordination with key stakeholders from Business, Group Credit & PBCAD for resolution of any queries/ issues related to particular accounts including strategic and transformational initiatives.
  • Liaises with IT for report generations and collating all relevant information to facilitate efficiency in transactions.

MIS Reporting


  • Preparation of requisite reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly/ad-hoc) and MIS through periodic reviews to ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting the right information for facilitating informed decision making.

Transformation


  • Involve in transformational change in CAD space both requiring system enhancements and not.
  • Involve in process simplification as contributor by applying digital initiatives/automation of manual processes.

Reporting


  • Ensure that all department reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet Group requirements, policies and quality standards.

Job Context:


Specific Accountability


  • IPOs – mainly responsible in processing the IPOs issuance via the Consumer and Private Banking Space end to end

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance or Related degrees.
  • Alternatively, with degree in Law – or have strong legal, operational risk or compliance background.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline is preferred.

Minimum Experience


  • Minimum 1-3 years relevant experience in the banking sector in CAD or related function. Knowledgeable background in Wealth and Private Banking.
