Senior Offboard Expert

As a Senior technical expert in offboard technologies, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our software solutions for the automotive industry. Being part of our Innovation team, you will ensure the influence of emerging offboard technologies to drive new Bets, define architecture for products & solutions.

Your expertise in enterprise architecture and large-scale systems will guide the optimization of cloud-native architectures, ensuring our products meet the unique needs of the automotive sector. You will work closely with international teams to design reference architectures aligned with modern SaaS paradigms, while enhancing existing systems for improved scalability, availability, and cost-effectiveness.

In addition to architecture consulting, you will be responsible for identifying emerging trends in offboard technologies and software engineering. Your insights will help identify early bets for automotive industry in the emerging technology space.

BE/BTech, ME/MS/MTech (Optional), Computer Science/Electronics/Information Tech.

Experience

• 10-15 years of hands-on experience in cloud computing, microservices architecture, and web development (including 2-3 years of consulting experience)
• Strong track record of designing and implementing large-scale enterprise systems, with specific experience in SaaS architecture.
• Proven expertise in SaaS offboarding strategies, including migration and integration techniques in a cloud environment.
• Experience identifying and evaluating emerging technology and software engineering trends, particularly in offboard technologies.
• Significant experience in building reference architectures for complex, distributed systems.
• Experience working with international teams of architects and cross-functional engineering teams to define and deliver scalable software solutions.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless architectures.
• Experience in working with mobility/automotive scenarios will be an added advantage

Qualifications / Skills

Technical Skills:

• Cloud Computing Platforms: Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a focus on designing and implementing scalable, cloud-native solutions for SaaS environments.
• Microservices Architecture: In-depth knowledge of microservices design patterns, enabling modular, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• SaaS Architecture: Deep understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architecture, data security, and privacy considerations.
• Containers & Orchestration: Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and related orchestration tools to deploy and manage cloud-native applications.
• Web Development: Strong foundation in web technologies with full-stack development experience.
• Enterprise Architecture: Experience in designing and managing enterprise architecture for large-scale systems, ensuring they are optimized for performance and scalability. Preferably certified in TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture framework.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Proficiency with DevOps practices, including automated testing, continuous integration and deployment.
• Security & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, data encryption, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Agile Methodologies: Hands-on experience in Agile environments, ensuring continuous delivery and iterative development.

• Spot Emerging Trends: Ability to spot emerging trends in software engineering and offboard technologies and derive actionable strategies for innovation and incubation.
