Job Description
To be part of the NPI Sourcing team and participate in projects team.To RFQ, analyze, and facilitate the selection of the most optimal parts and suppliers based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach and in consideration of other risk factors (e.g., resiliency, assurance of supply, quality, timeline). May also includes setting up lot sizes.To set up new parts in SAP to enable part purchases for project builds and mass production. This includes engagement with quality, production buyers and others (e.g., QIR, PPAP, cost roll).Use SAP and various other tools to track, flag-out, and escalate to suppliers and commodity managers to lead on-time material deliveries and therefore manage suppliers' performance and risks.Escalate and make known to sourcing management, project manager and relevant partners any major risks to parts delivery and cost, to allow early risk mitigation actions at a higher level.Perform data analysis and investigations as part of root cause analysis (e.g., supply gap) and thus come up with relevant action plans to.Compile, process and prepare relevant reports to share with project teams and management.Work with project teams and suppliers to come up with cost savings and cost mitigation opportunities.To understand all relevant procedure and processes (e.g. Common Product Development (CPD) process) needed to enable smooth execution of the scope of work for this role.Maintain ERP system's data accuracy including price, lead time, and lot sizes, especially for new parts.Help with material planning forecasts to suppliers of critical components.Process purchase requisitions generated by NPI teams after ensuring its accuracy to supplier's quote and matching it to project's requirement, follow-up on the delivery ETA upon PO release, and assisting in the resolution of any invoice issues for these POs (e.g., invoice mismatch).Perform other duties as assigned.
