We are hiring for a Sr. Medical Oncology Nurse, you will provide leadership, guidance, and clinical expertise to the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Your knowledge, experience, and strong leadership skills will contribute to the overall success of the nursing team.
Key Responsibilities -
1. Direct Patient Care: Administer advanced oncology treatments, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and manage complex patient cases. Efficient in managing side effects related to chemotherapy/immunotherapy/targeted therapy administration like extravasation, anaphylaxis, nausea/vomiting, etc.
2. Chemoport & PICC Line Management: Efficiently insert, maintain, and monitor chemoports and PICC lines to support patients requiring long-term intravenous therapies, including chemotherapy, nutrition, or antibiotics.
3. Leadership and Mentorship: Supervise and mentor nursing staff, assign tasks, and provide clinical guidance to ensure adherence to best practices.
4. Collaborative Care Planning: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
5. Quality Assurance: Monitor patient outcomes, ensure compliance with established protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
6. Training and Orientation: Lead the orientation and ongoing training of new and existing nursing staff.
7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all practices align with current healthcare regulations and standards.
8. Documentation: Maintain precise and comprehensive patient records and documentation.
