Role Overview:
This position requires a leader to manage a team of DevOps and Software Engineers, providing technical direction for multiple software development projects. The role involves evolving and maintaining custom-engineered scientific solutions, while collaborating with global IT teams.
You will be responsible for the following:
Lead a team of DevOps and Software Engineers
Act as a technical lead for one or several software development projects
Evolve and maintain custom engineered scientific solutions
Cooperate with IT teams across the globe
Required Experience and Skills:
BSc or MSc in computer science or related field
At least 5 years of experience in software development
At least 2 years in leading technical teams
Excellent problem-solving skills and high professional standards with strong ability to prioritize and work under pressure
Strong communication skills and ability to simplify and explain complex problems to data scientists and software engineers
Linux/terminal proficiency and comfortable with terminal-based workflows.
Understanding of data structures and algorithms, software desigh patterns
Experience with containerization and virtualization technologies
Familiarity with AWS and cloud computing ecosystems
Experience with DevOps pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
Nice to Have
Background in computational chemistry, bio informatics or similar area
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
Experience with security best practices in DevOps.
