Responsibility:
Owning Vendor Relationship and delivers strategic impact through Vendor Strategy Development.
Understanding the full business relationship of the Vendor, its position in the market relative to others, and its strategy, investment themes and capabilities
Applying oversight and monitoring of agreed projects being executed in the business by securing close alignment between supplier, R&D, Quality and business.
Purchasing Strategy and Process
Provides regular reports to Management that brings visibility on product level related to compliance, spend and savings.
Continuous improvement of Purchasing processes and technologies.
Pursues leads/opportunities to increase leverage and supports their development where applicable, in close conjunction with the relevant Product Category and Cost Analyst team.
Be aware of industry information/ benchmark.
Overall owns the vendor contracts and negotiations.
Establishes baseline and target prices for negotiations.
Builds and sustains a network with people in relevant related business areas to ensure knowledge transfer and sharing of best practices
Skills and experience
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electronics, etc.) with 10 to 15 yrs of relevant experience.
Good understanding of supplier manufacturing processes, part cost roll-ups, commodity price movement trend, part development tools & methodologies.
Highly motivated, action oriented, persistent towards accomplishing tasks and drives for success.
Ability to communicate well, oral and written, in English
Cross functional skills and awareness of business requirements,
Is capable of understanding global approach and align locally. Is accurate and delivers quality work, with a strong sense of urgency
