The Senior Manager- Program Management responsible for leading and managing PMO practices and processes used across our New Product Development (NPD) and product\market expansion development opportunities ensuring to deliver solutions on time and within budget fulfilling our customers’ needs. Additionally, to stay in touch with the daily activities and challenges the development teams face, you will lead a small feature driven development team directly.


This position reports to the Director, Site Leader - Sciex IDC and functionally reports to Director R&D PMO and is part of the PMO organization located in Bangalore and will be an on-site role.    


In this role, you will have the opportunity to:


  • Lead a team of Scrum Masters and Project Managers performing feature driven development concurrently supporting a variety of software products and release versions.
  • Champion the planning, controlling and coordination of a release train to deliver and meet defined goals using Scaled Agile development practices.
  • Facilitate planning activities with key achievements, supervise progress against plans, and resolve appropriate corrective actions. Exercise critical thinking to strategy to action.
  • Lead Scrum of Scrum type activities to collaborate, communicate, and deliver on commitments.  This includes driving ownership and accountability to the team. Work with business and product priorities balancing trade-offs between short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Cultivate and grow strong relationships across a variety of organizational functions and teams, such as: Software, Firmware, Hardware, Service and Research.
  • Produce and deliver project-related communications such as status reports, visual management and progress metrics. Lead and measure the team's performance on project tasks.
  • Participate in defining and rolling out Project Management standard methodologies and tools and evangelizing continuous improvement.

The essential requirements of the job include:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent proven experience
  • Possess 15+ years demonstrated engineering sector experience as a software engineering professional with at least 8+ years of experience in project management; experience with both Agile and Waterfall software development environments is required
  • Prior Experience in people management in terms performance reviews, associate development, engagement and retention
  • Handson experiences managing system development\integration projects with multi‐disciplinary teams encompassing embedded hardware, firmware and control\processing software
  • Preferred: PMP, ACP, and/or SCRUM Master certification
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, MS Project, SharePoint or other equivalent resource management and tracking tools
  • Excellent critical thinking, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • The work hours are flexible and to cater to the needs of global customers and stakeholders, you may need to attend calls and virtual meetings as per different time zones

  • May include 10% travel
