About your team


Fidelity Global Procurement has been formed to consolidate procurement functions across the regions. It comprises approximately 65 employees based across India, UK, Continental Europe and Asia Pacific. The team manages approximately $700m of spend split between technology and non-technology categories. He Procurement Performance and Controls team supports Procurement to manage its risks within appetite


About your role
 


The Senior Manager role will report to the AD - Procurement Controls Lead to enable the oversight activities for the Procurement function and the wider business’s use of Procurement systems and processes to buy goods and/ or services from external Third Parties in line with the Global Procurement Policy & Framework. The role will also provide closer oversight to the India/ China based P2P / Procurement Operations activities from a risk and oversight perspective.


This role will require to engage with a diverse range of internal stakeholders, including the Procurement audience, 2nd line risk and compliance teams, Internal Audit and the broader stakeholder community in the business.


The Senior Manager - Procurement Oversight & Performance will have the following responsibilities;


Risk Management


  • Support the design and implementation of a Management Self-testing/QC testing program for end-to-end procurement and supplier lifecycle to ensure compliance with FIL Policies and Procurement Standards.
  • Plan and execute the testing, providing regular reporting and governance on the outcomes.
  • Engage in discussions with relevant areas, both within and outside of Procurement, to agree on improvement actions based on identified QC testing gaps.

Governance /Oversight:


  • Assist in Procurement Governance by preparing agendas, coordinating materials, contributing to presentation packs, and monitoring open issues/audit findings, risk events/NCNs, and updating actions as necessary. Also, prepare meeting minutes.
  • Provide oversight on various risk items, including risk events, open issues, and actions. Conduct weekly governance activities to ensure compliance with FIL standards.
  • Critically challenge root cause analyses provided by process teams and ensure the inclusion of RCA learnings into actions and Risk and Controls Self-Assessments.

Framework Design & Training:


  • Contribute to Procurement framework design activities and support the development and maintenance of procurement training.

Audit:


  • Collaborate with audit teams to understand requirements and ensure timely provision of artifacts and realistic SPOC expectations.
  • Work with teams to provide information, responses, and updates for audit teams to effectively carry out their roles.

Local support for Global Operations:


  • Support the Head of Procurement Operations for local assurance and oversight activities to manage the risk of India and China-based procurement operations.
  • Gather feedback from the India/China Operations teams on various global risk initiatives such as policy proposals, RCSA, monthly monitoring activities, and audits.

About you


  • Demonstrated background in Risk management and Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Proven experience in working within an Enterprise Risk Management framework model with knowledge of the 3LOD Risk Management model.
  • Assurance testing experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for effective risk identification and mitigation.
  • Experience in implementing and monitoring risk mitigation strategies in financial institutions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards for supplier management and risk.
