Role profile:

Group Procurement (GP) leads LSEG third-party supplier engagements, collaborate with the business to drive high performance and sustainable value from our supplier relationships. We aim to make LSEG easier and more attractive to do business with, and we consider our suppliers as a source of competitive advantage and not just about cost.


Some key characteristics of the Group Procurement organisation:


  • Supplier spend c £3BN and c. 4,000+ suppliers
  • Team structured around:
    • Three master categories of spend (Technology, Services and Corporate)
    • A Strategy & Performance centre, enabling function to drive and implement the strategy, excellent procurement policy and processes
  • Key hubs for the category teams in London, Bangalore and New York with a small amount of decentralised activity to support local markets which are in various global locations including Europe and Asia.

The Strategy & Performance tower is comprised of four teams:


  • A team passionate about Risk, Sustainability
  • A Centre of Excellence (CoE) undertakes procurement processes enablement and support the strategy
  • A Shared Services (SS) team drives tactical buying and small category management
  • An individual contributor role driving Oracle implementation initiatives

This role sits in GP-CoE within procurement strategy and performance vertical, reporting into Director (CoE) Team based out of Bangalore India.


The successful candidate will hold the position of “Senior Manager- OpEX and Digital Transformation” position. The role entails techno-functional responsibilities to support upstream Source to contract (S2C) processes using Oracle Fusion and Ariba platform. Role requires day to day management of Oracle Techno-functional administration for S2C, Contract administration, Sourcing events management (eRFPs, auctions), and work with System integrator to craft and implement leading procurement processes for S2C function in Oracle.


Additionally, Senior manager will be supported by a team and encouraged to provide leadership and carry out people management responsibilities. On the Digital Transformation side, it is required to explore various automation and improvement opportunities in procurement processes and closely align with other functions, such as downstream requisition to pay teams, supplier onboarding and third-party risk management. The role will work closely with Directors, head of functions across sourcing tower and provide them support in various process execution, compliance management and uphold procurement policy in the sourcing activities.

Essential experience and skills required:


  • Evaluating our current approaches and proposing improvements;
  • 12-18 Year of meaningful experience in Oracle and Ariba Tool Implementation, consulting/SME experience in procurement process management, metrics, and digital transformation and procurement process automation.
  • Excellent skills in reporting tool like PowerBI and automation tools like Power automate, Power apps etc
  • Strong partner engagement skills: able to quickly develop positive relationships', to drive desirable outcomes
  • “Roll your sleeves up” person who will be effective both as an individual contributor and to be the leader of the team
  • Ability to cut through complexity, be pragmatic and get things done
  • Excellent problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
  • Positive demeanour with the ability to lead tasks, processes, and operations with limited direction
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and mange conflicting priorities
  • Flexible and adaptive in approach to projects and problem solving
  • Delivery focused, with experience of being able to lead a list of parallel and/or conflicting priorities
  • Exceptional analytical skills, Ability to absorb complex, fragmented information and devise solutions or analysis

Technical Skillsets:


  • Excellent Microsoft office skills (especially, Powerapps, Word, Excel, Presentation skiils, Power BI, SharePoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of implementing AI/automation initiatives in GP processes process management
  • Procurement application experience in S2C process management, DocuSign, Oracle, and any other related platforms)

Desirable:


  • Experience of procurement in a Financial Services Regulated Environment, Information Services Companies; FinTech’s; Global, multi-country organizations preferred
