Senior Manager Information Systems - Network Operations
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization's global network infrastructure. This position ensures high availability, performance, and security by managing a team of network engineers, developing operational strategies, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining alignment with business objectives in a sophisticated and constantly evolving technology landscape.
The ideal candidate will have a consistent record of leadership in Network Infrastructure Operations and has a passion for fostering innovation and excellence in the biotechnology industry. Additionally, collaboration with multi-functional and global teams is required to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a good background in Core Networking Skills (LAN/WAN/Data Center/ Load balancers) and service delivery and operations, coupled with leadership and transformation experience. This role demands the ability to drive and deliver against key organizational critical initiatives, develop a collaborative environment, and deliver high-quality results in a matrixed organizational structure. Please note, this is an onsite role based in Hyderabad.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a successful team of infrastructure engineers through recruitment, performance management, and career development
Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
Lead a team of Network administrators, providing guidance and mentorship.
Responsible for the 24x7x365 operations aspects of Network Infrastructure service delivery at all Amgen locations.
Optimize resource allocation and shift coverage for 24/7 operations
Producing regular and accurate service management reports and dashboards for the leadership team.
Lead internal customer relationships with leaders across the technology organization.
Lead incident response and problem management for critical network issues
Oversee implementation and maintenance of network security policies and procedures
Ensure network compliance with regulatory requirements
Manage vendor relationships and service contracts
Generate regular reports on network performance, availability, and incident analysis
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in network operations
Partner with business collaborators to understand and support organizational needs
What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 8 to 10 years of experience in Network Operations, with at least 3 years in management OR
Bachelor’s degree and 10 to 14 years of experience in Network Operations, with at least 4 years in management OR
Diploma and 14 to 18 years of experience in Network Operations, with at least 5 years in management
Deep understanding of network protocols, security concepts, and data center networking technologies
Knowledge of network monitoring and management systems
Experience with service level management and operational metrics
Solid background in network operations strategy and planning
Exceptional collaboration, communication and social skills to effectively manage collaborator relationships and build new partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a leadership role within a pharmaceutical or technology organization
Knowledge of network automation tools and practices
DevOps, S/W development and scripting
Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SD-WAN)
Familiarity with network orchestration platforms
Good knowledge of industry tools
Professional Certifications:
Management certifications (PMP, ITIL) (preferred)
Network certifications (CCNA, CCNP) for technical credibility (preferred)
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong transformation and organizational change experience.
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
High degree of initiative and self-motivation.
Ability to prioritize successfully.

Shift Information: This position is an onsite role and may require working during later hours to align with business hours. Candidates must be willing and able to work outside of standard hours as required to meet business needs.
