Designation: Manager / Senior Manager - CI
Base Location: Navi Mumbai
Reporting to: DGM – Process Excellence - GSC
Role Purpose:
The job purpose of a Continuous Improvement (CI) Senior Manager typically involves leading initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality across the organization.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Designing and implementing a continuous improvement strategy aligned with the organization's goals.
- Process Optimization: Analysing existing processes to identify areas for improvement and streamlining workflows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with various departments to foster a culture of continuous improvement and facilitate change management.
- Training and Development: Providing training and support to staff on CI methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
- Performance Metrics: Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvement initiatives.
- Project Management: Leading CI projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with stakeholders at all levels to communicate the benefits of CI initiatives and secure buy-in.
- Reporting and Analysis: Analysing data to drive decisions and reporting progress to senior leadership.
- Overall, the CI Senior Manager plays a critical role in driving a culture of excellence and ensuring the organization remains competitive and responsive to market changes.
- Responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time bound.
- All Bands: Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Competencies:
- Several years of experience in continuous improvement, operations management, or related fields, often 5-10 years
- Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the Shipping & logistics industry

Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Preferred master’s degree (e.g., MBA or master’s in engineering) is often preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt).
- Other relevant certifications such as Certified Manager of Quality (CMQ/OE) or certifications in project management (e.g., PMP).
