Position Title: Manager – Engineered Tooling Solution (Requisition ID: 008O75)
Experience: 6-8 years
Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (Tool and Die making)
Key role and responsibilities:
- Maintain regular and effective communication with customers to understand their tool maintenance needs, priorities and feedback.
- Conduct weekly meetings with customers to discuss priorities, to address concerns, provide updates, improvement initiatives and ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
- Draw inferences from the inputs / reported problem received from the customer and appropriately guide supervisors/ die makers during the tool maintenance stage for problem resolution.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of tool breakdowns, categorizing them as major or minor and implement preventive measures to minimize future breakdowns.
Functional Competencies:
- Profound knowledge of tool maintenance, particularly in repair and maintenance of molds and press tool.
- Strong knowledge of press tool and mould maintenance, Moulding, sheet metals press working, machining, etc.
- Knowledge about tooling elements, systems, treatments to reduce tool maintenance instances.
- Knowledge in material science, tool steel.
- Competencies about Fits & tolerances for troubleshooting and rectification.
- Strong analytical skills to access tool performance and breakdown data.
- Knowledge of different analytical tools and techniques (such as FMEA, DOE, Six Sigma, Etc)
- Understanding of how to apply analytical tools to improve tool-making processes and performance.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar maintenance management software.
- Understanding of TPM and TQM principles and their application in the tool maintenance context.
