The Role


As a Senior Manager with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.


  • Working as part of our DAC Program Technology team and leads technology design/integration services for DAC Program including assessment of downstream OEM/Manufacturing needs.
  • Provides engineering oversight to a group of employees in multiple engineering disciplines.Accountable for leading team members including their ongoing development and their assignment on projects in compliance with company requirements.
  • Key skills and experience include proven leader in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver large-scale international projects. 
  • Based on many years successful implementation of Air Quality Control plants such as Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP), Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD), Wet Gas Scrubbers (WGS), and Fabric Filters as an OEM supplier, this skill set is required to support the transition at Worley from an EPC supplier to a Technology OEM supplier. 
  • Skilled in optimizing design and detailing processes, coordinating with global teams to achieve project objectives, and implementing licensed technologies from industry leaders. 
  • Known for aligning engineering strategies with regulatory standards, streamlining cross-functional workflows, and enhancing team performance through focusedtraining and effective KPI management.
  • Directly reports to DAC Technology Development Leader and interfaces with DAC Program Design/Manufacturing Lead.
  • Works with DAC India leader around technical resource needs that are supplied by India.

Key Accountabilities:-


  • Business Development Support :- Assists business development activities by facilitating the maintenance of personal profiles and resumes, tracking existing capabilities, and strategically addressing future customer capability requirements. Encourages positive working relationships with external parties such as the customer, suppliers, and contractors.May be involved in networking, negotiations, strategic alliancing, and cost savings efforts. Stewards the maintenance of pricing records reflecting the effort to complete discipline activities. May support proposals by developing the engineering execution strategy, reviewing costs, writing proposal content, and presenting to customers. May be called upon to lead part or all of a proposal.
  • Business Operations :- Participates in budgeting and manage engineering operations to the budget. Controls engineering staffing levels, organizational structure, and monitors project discipline structures. Administers engineering software licensing and costs. Creates and maintains engineering guidelines. Ensures mentoring/training requirements are met. Manages the employee performance review process. Facilitates coverage of activities when people leave the team. Contributes to dispute resolution efforts. Ensures cross-discipline technical work and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
  • Technical Competency:- Owns engineering technical competency and quality programs and oversees technical competency of those within the location. Ensures team member adherence to company processes, generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Supports global standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates and oversees use by the team. Assures the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful. Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence. Stewards discipline checking and technical peer reviews.
  • DAC Program :- Leads technology design/integration services for DAC Program including assessment of downstream OEM/Manufacturing needs.
  • Project Execution:- Facilitates meeting project requirements through the use of engineering guidelines, programs, and management of the resources allocated to projects. May participate in project execution strategy and planning. Drives innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence. May work with Project Management Teams to take corrective actions regarding any issues, staffing requirements, scope changes, progressing, or other events that could affect project completion and/or profitability. Reviews and authorizes work done by Discipline Managers.

About You


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


  •  Trained in leadership and project execution. Will be actively licensed with a local engineering governing body where required by law.   Training in risk management or quality.
  •  Has a strong understanding of cross-discipline work, interfaces, and sequencing. Well versed in engineering governance, project execution,   and fiscal management. Skilled in estimating project costs and writing proposal content. Adept at   budgeting and cost control.
  •  4B/4A - Typically has 15+ years of relevant discipline and multi-discipline experience, 5+ years in project leadership, and 5+ years as a   Discipline Manager.
  •  Experience in project management, risk management, quality, procurement, or construction execution.
  •  Make engineering management decisions under the general direction of the Location Manager. Manages cross-discipline resource   mobilization and demobilization to maintain sufficient resourcing and ensure cost effectiveness.
  •  Accountable for the performance of the team, discipline risks, and driving continuous improvement. Responsible for discipline planning,   budgeting, and approval of expenditures. Implements approved discipline programs in accordance with   budget  and company policy.
  •  3A/3B - Operates with broad management authority. Limited only by general objectives and policies of the organization. Work is reviewed   to ensure company direction meets company vision and mission.
  •  4A/4B - Works with self-initiated interaction with supervisor and self-initiated technical guidance. Influence over duties. Receives   administrative direction based on organization policies and objectives. Work is reviewed to ensure conformity with   policy and for   coordination of other company functions or groups.
  •  Discipline Managers in the location.
  •  Effectively communicate and present complex proposals and reports to senior level management. Ability to persuade and influence others.   Participative management style with a cooperative team approach.
  • Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint. Can organize information from many sources and retain as per the   prescribed format and policies. Has functional awareness of cross-discipline tools. Experienced in     coordinating the establishment/use of   integrated tools and delivering the benefits of data centric engineering.

  • Systems & Tools (Desirable) : Competent in Microsoft Access and Visio. Able to touch type.
  • HSE Capability : Assume hands-on management and implementation of all relevant company HSE requirements. Drive Safe and Sustainable engineering outcomes throughout the asset lifecycle via the application of SEAL. Role-model a commitment to personal well-being and a pro-active approach to continuously improving health, safety and environmental performance.
  • People Skills : Enjoys working in a small high callibre team with high visibility to senior stakeholders. Able to work and liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders, able to prioritise workloads and help other team members to achieve team goals.
  • Action Orientation : Achieves results set by self and others, meets timelines, pushes to achieve stretch goals, and demonstrates enthusiasm, persistence and tenacity. Breaks down work into executable tasks. Acts accountable for work produced and ensures it is "right the first time.”
  • Intellectual Capacity: Deals with new concepts and complexity comfortably. Examines problems carefully and thoroughly and understands their interdependencies. Can pull information and ideas from many sources and see the importance of many factors.
