Role description: Senior Manager – Embedded Risk Management Oversight: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to oversee our Embedded Risk Management function. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team performing critical risk management activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and implementing effective risk management practices.
This role will report to the Director of Business Control Office, Data and Analytics Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the execution of Business Management Activities (BMA), Control Environment Programs (CEP), Business Continuity Management (BCM), Top Risks, Issues, Events, Internal Audit (IA) Actions, and Emerging Risks Assessment.
Conduct Risk Operating Committee meetings for respective functions, ensuring effective risk governance and decision-making.
Ensure accountability for logging issues, events, controls, and actions in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system.
Oversee the timely issue and logging of risk events to ensure prompt resolution and mitigation.
Implement and supervise risk management practices across the organization to minimize potential risks.
Evaluate and ensure compliance with London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) policy standards and regulatory requirements.
Assess and handle regulatory risks, ensuring the organization adheres to all relevant regulations.
Document and adhere to procedures for Embedded Risk Management (ERM) tasks, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Provide oversight for risk and control aspects of transformation programs, ensuring risks are identified and managed optimally.
Lead and mentor the risk management team, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management.
Skills Required:
Minimum of 10 years of work experience
Solid understanding of risk management concepts and regulatory requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate complex risk concepts to diverse audiences
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage and mentor a team effectively!
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams!
