JOB DESCRIPTION:Senior Manager Demand Planning

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for Forecasting/ Demand planning, Inventory planning, Business Excellence, FG Supply planning & Cross-functional support

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Forecasting/ Demand planning

• Analyze demand and develop consensus based demand forecast at lowest SKU level on a monthly basis. Forecast to be developed considering trending/statistical techniques, inputs from sales and marketing teams and alignment with long term financial plans
• Identify gaps between forecasts and actual sales. Work closely with sales and  marketing teams to ensure inconsistencies in the forecast are corrected in future to prevent any negative impact on customer replenishment or inventory
• Communicate the forecast to ALOG & ANSC India, Division/Area finance as well as to the internal stakeholders
• Drive the affiliate monthly S&OP Monthly

Inventory planning

• Co-ordinate with ALOG and ANSC India to secure inventory as per the demand forecast and in line with the inventory holding norms
• Monitor the inventory on hand (DOH) and production plan obtained from ANSC India and master arrival schedule from ALOG to proactively identify possible supply chain constraints and potential back-orders. Facilitate action to resolve such issues

Business Excellence

• Deploy effective business processes in line with Abbott Business Excellence standards
• Co-ordinate monthly S&OP process to drive key business decisions
• Manage Supply Chain KPI reporting at country as well as global level. Provide business causal factors impacting the KPIs

Inventory planning

• Compile and publish the depot wise forecast for each SKU obtained from sales
• Conduct periodic inventory to identify & balance excess inventory, identify potential obsolescence and work with finance and sales for liquidating the same
• Manage stock freshness issues, product MRP changes, facilitate preparation of price circulars

Cross-functional support

• Work closely and communicating effectively ALOG, ANSC India, Sales, Marketing and Finance teams on issues pertaining to inventory and drive initiatives to positively influence operating working capital
• Work with ex-India markets team and ALOG & ANSC India team on fulfilling the ex-India orders

Minimum Education

Major/Field of Study

MBA/PGDBM

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in teams with varied functional/technical knowledge
• Strong analytical capabilities. Ability to relate data to business situation.
• Preferable experience in SAP (or current equivalent integrated Global ERP/ supply chain planning systems)
• Result-oriented and ability to follow through on committed tasks
• High degree of self-management, organization skills and discipline

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

Experience Details

8+ Years

• Experience with at least 6-8+ years in Operations / Supply chain at an executive level. - Preferably in FMCG / Consumer Goods / Pharma
