Summary: This is a people and project management position that will be crucial to upholding standards of excellence for deliverables within BIA teams and establishing a high-performing, connected culture on the ground as the new Hyderabad site becomes established. The analytical solutions manager oversees individual contributors directly and is responsible for deliverables, goal setting, performance management, and coaching. The right candidate has a strong analytical background and can build and inspire effective teams to drive the Hyderabad site to success.


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Directly manage a team of skilled decision analysts/data scientists to deliver advanced statistical models, decision support models and optimization techniques to solve complex business problems 
  • Connect the dots across the 3 verticals – KDA/Omni-channel, CE3 and Tools and Solutions to ensure they complement each other
  • Ensure high quality of work that adheres to analytical best practices
  • Collate cross portfolio learnings and best practices
  • Conduct portfolio analyses to optimize resource allocation, product positioning, and investment strategies.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives and  translate them into projects and actionable recommendations
  • Oversee development of appropriate presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels of the organization
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging methodologies and best practices related to statistical analysis, optimization and decision support and discuss with the US counterpart plan to bring/test some of them in-house
  • Proactively raise concerns if there's risk in bringing analytical solutions to completion on time and discuss alternatives
  • Screen and interview team members and play a key role in mentoring/training new hires, designing career development opportunities and creating a culture of connectivity and meaningful work within the team

Skills and Competencies:


  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of statistical analysis, optimization techniques and decision support models
  • Strong understanding of experimental design, hypothesis testing and A/B testing methodologies
  • Strong understanding of digital/non-personal tactics in pharma space like website, paid search, social media, third party etc.
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills to translate complex analyses into what it means for the business in an articulate insights and recommendations style
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and reliability of analysis
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to ensure their individual growth while working as a team towards a common goal

Experience:


  • We welcome a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Data Science or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience (typically 9+ years) in a decision analysis, statistical modeling, or optimization role, preferably within the biopharma or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with descriptive/explanatory models, regression modeling, clustering, segmentation and portfolio analysis
  • Familiarity with the biopharma industry, including market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and healthcare data sources
  • Experience managing/leading team(s) supporting global enterprise
  • Experience interacting with senior management, understanding, anticipating, and fulfilling their insight/ analytical information requirements 
  • Experience with R, Python, AWS, Excel, PowerPoint
