Senior Manager - APAC payroll


Are you a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to take charge of our payroll functions for APAC Region?


Are you an analytical, methodical, and experienced individual in payroll administration?


About our Team


The scope for RELX APAC Payroll includes all 5 divisions of RELX (Corporate, Scientific Technical and Medical, Legal, Risk and Exhibitions), as well as any acquired companies going forward.


About the Role


This role ensures accurate and prompt processing of regional payroll for all APAC countries. Also assist with global transformation efforts to consolidate payroll vendors, processes, and responsibilities to create a centralized payroll function.


Responsibilities


  • Assisting the APAC payroll head to develop the payroll strategy. You will lead the APAC implementation ensuring each division of RELX aligns with the requirements of the newly created function


  • Ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee payroll.


  • Generating reports on payroll metrics and trends for management and auditing purposes.


  • Staying up-to-date on payroll laws and regulations to ensure accuracy and compliance.


  • Leading the transformation efforts of the APAC payroll function, in accordance with the overall Global payroll strategy.


  • Working closely with key vendor partners for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating payroll vendors on an ongoing basis. Ensure they are driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring systems and services provided are best-in-class and industry-leading.


Requirements


  • Have APAC payroll and systems implementation knowledge.


  • Have completed education in Business, Finance / Accounting, or related experience or discipline.


  • Be able to communicate effectively with employees and management.


  • Able to build, lead and develop a team of staff with different backgrounds and levels of expertise.


  • Experience of managing conflict situations that require rapid action to resolve.
