Summary: This is a people and project management position that will be crucial to upholding standards of excellence for deliverables within BIA teams and establishing a high performing, connected culture on the ground as the new Hyderabad site becomes established. The analytical solutions manager oversees individual contributors directly and is responsible for deliverables, goal setting, performance management, and coaching. The right candidate has a strong analytical background and can build and inspire effective teams to drive the Hyderabad site to success.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Directly manage a team of skilled hands-on data scientists, data engineers and machine learning engineers to create predictive machine learning models, sophisticated optimizations and innovative data science to solve complex business problems
• Ensure high quality of work that adheres to analytical best practices
• Employs disruptive thinking to improve value to the business and Commercialization organization through deepened market understanding, streamlined business engagement and practically applied, data driven analytics
• Use a sound mix of market knowledge, brand strategy and machine learning capabilities to build and enhance the quality of our predictive models
• Be able to translate the complexity of the machine learning models in business language to make the insights understood better and drive the use of these models further
• Partners with Head of Commercialization Data Science & AI Predictive Solutions to provide guidance on how advanced analytics and machine learning can be leveraged to solve ad-hoc non-commercialization needs
• Partners with the Head of Commercialization Data Science & AI Predictive Solutions to monitor the external, Commercialization Analytics landscape, identifying and applying new capabilities in support of continuous BIA evolution and business performance
• Screen and interview team members and play a key role in mentoring/training new hires, designing career development opportunities and creating a culture of connectivity and meaningful work within the team

Skills and Competencies:

• Hands on experience with designing and deploying machine learning models using Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow, Pytorch, etc
• Experience with Git is preferred
• Experience with cloud based environments (AWS, Azure, etc)
• Experience with MLOps
• Strong business acumen and communication skills to translate complex analyses into what it means for the business in an articulate insights and recommendations style
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and reliability of analysis
• Strong people management skills and the ability to ensure their individual growth while working as a team towards a common goal

Experience:

• We welcome a bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Data Science or a related discipline.
• Proven experience (typically 9+ years) in a data science, machine learning, or data engineering related roles
• Experience with designing and deploying predictive modeling 
• Experience managing/leading team(s) supporting global enterprise
• Experience interacting with senior management, understanding, anticipating, and fulfilling their insight/ analytical information requirements 
• Experience with Python, R, SQL, AWS, Git and MLOps
