Job Description
Job Overview:
We are looking for and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. You have 5 to 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with a background in maintaining electrical systems and equipment. Candidates with experience inpanel building and panel wiring will be given priority. The Maintenance Engineer will ensure the smooth operation of all machinery, equipment, and electrical panels to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance of machinery, equipment, and electrical systems in compliance with company standards.
- Troubleshoot, resolve electrical, mechanical, and control issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to prevent machine failures and ensure equipment longevity.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring setup and functionality.
- Support the design, assembly, and wiring of control panels, ensuring they meet industry standards.
- Modify and upgrade electrical panels and wiring.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, including service records and work orders.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and implement maintenance schedules and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support and training to junior maintenance staff.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems, machinery, and controls.
- Experience with panel building and wiring (preferred) with tests.
- Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and other automation systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with safety standards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and maintenance best practices.
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills and resolve issues.
- To work with operators, engineers, and management.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications in electrical maintenance or automation.
- You will report to Maintenance Manager.
