The Senior Legal Counsel in Pune is expected to demonstrate the Roche Operating Principles and contribute to the Roche Group.

As a member of the Roche Information Solutions (RIS) Legal Department you are given this opportunity in a team with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork to support RIS on all legal matters.
Areas of Responsibility
In this role you will
Provide legal advice and guidance to RIS on all legal matters, including data privacy, access to data, and software licensing and commercialization topics as part of the global Legal RIS Team
Oversee digital and AI law and policy developments in the APAC region and contribute to the global digital and AI policy strategy
Act as the Point of Contact to regional and affiliate legal colleagues on topics related to commercialization of digital products in the APAC region
Assist in developing, implementing and communicating legal strategies for Roche Diagnostics businesses together with other lawyers, IT and cybersecurity functions and senior leadership.
Legal support for the RIS India site, such as corporate and strategic matters, communication with local authorities, ESG related questions, HR topics and construction and lease projects.
Contributing to the regular meetings of the Site Leadership Team of RIS India
Developing and presenting legal trainings regarding various topics of relevance to and in support of business needs in local as well as English language
Qualifications of the position:
Education:Master degree in Law from Indian University; admission to the Bar in India
Professional experience/duration: 4+ years of experience in a corporate healthcare or technology/IT company or in private practice with a focus area on the relevant topics.
Specialist knowledge: Digital, AI and Data Privacy laws in APAC region, contract law, IP
Travel % required (if applicable): 10%
