About the role:
This will be professional individual contributor role. As a Software Engineer Senior, you will lead and manage Tax Information Reporting Suite web services and web portal, build scalable solutions, mentor team members, ensure code quality, implements industry best practices, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and stays updated on emerging technologies to drive innovation in web development.
What you will be doing
- Participate in key technology migration, understand the big picture and take part in architectural approaches for software design and implementation.
- Provide high level solution design for web APIs, website redesign, new features by coordinating with other senior developers and get the designs reviewed and completed together with them.
- Keep up with new and upcoming technology concepts and frameworks/process and apply them in the product to improve the product architecture in line with our go to cloud strategy.
- Help establish a standard practice across all the web services offerings to the client by implementing industry best practices and future cloud adoption.
- (Situational) Support the teams to meet their delivery milestones by working within or next to the teams, especially in demanding client-driven deliveries.
- Provide technical leadership and supports the team with writing quality code, do code reviews for junior members in the team.
- Identify design issues, improvements and guide the team to adapt the code as per best practices and develop sustainable code.
- Ensure developed software meets all the requirements of quality, security, performance and scalability.
- Contribute towards creating and imparting high quality training (and material) to train new joiners in the team.
- Devising optimization strategies to improve the application's performance, scalability and responsiveness through techniques such as code refactoring, caching mechanisms, database indexing, and asynchronous processing.
- Gathering client feedback and incorporating them into the application as part of the continuous improvement process.
- Work in sprints – take part in design, development, unit testing and defect fixing of the product.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development with working in banking or financial domain. Ready to relocate to Pune or base location in Pune
- Hands-on experience with Core Java 11+, REST API, Java EE, Spring, Spring Boot
- Good knowledge of Object-oriented concept and In-depth knowledge of software development principles
- Should inspire trust, encourage innovation, and promote a positive work culture.
- Can understand and apply suitable design patterns while designing/developing code.
- Good understanding of CI/CD tools, Angular, AngularJS(Good to have).
- Should possess strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and make informed decisions.
- Must be able to convey complex ideas, provide clear instructions, and facilitate smooth collaboration.
- Self-motivated and self-learner. Ability to work in an agile development environment.
- Adaptability: The dynamic nature of the development landscape requires adaptability. You should be open to change, embrace new technologies, and stay updated with industry trends.
