We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to drive innovation and development of Pearson’s IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our Software Asset Management (SAM) workflows, integrations, and related processes, and is primarily responsible for the design and implementation of ongoing development and performance of established Hardware Asset and Software Asset Management processes in conjunction with the process owners. As a Senior IT Asset Management Architect, you will be accountable for integration development and maintenance, process owner support, configuration identification and control, and collaboration with IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and Service Management teams within the ServiceNow platform.
Ideal candidates have a background in ServiceNow development and implementation of both Discovery and Asset Management capabilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the effectiveness of asset discovery processes that populate and maintain the asset registry and the assets’ life cycles.
Collaborates with process owners and designs solutions within the ServiceNow platform to meet the company’s evolving needs and use cases.
Reviews and oversees ServiceNow discovery processes for the purposes of maintaining an accurate asset registry. Collaborates with Discovery Administrators and ITOM team members to ensure resources are mapped appropriately.
Supports service owners across Pearson’s Digital & Technology division for incident, change, security, and asset management strategies.
Mentors other ServiceNow developers and operations team members on staff, providing insights on best practices and potential solutions.
Supports reporting capabilities and performance analytics data in support of more accurate and automated efficiency tracking, in support of hardware and software asset management.
Partners with service owners to provide guidance on data reporting and drives opportunities for users to self-service their reporting needs.
Minimum requirements:
Active ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator (CSA) certification
Active implementation specialist certifications in at least one Asset Management module and Discovery
Experience with implementation of ServiceNow modules.
Understanding of the CMDB as it relates to assets and their lifecycles.
Strong verbal communication skills and a desire to invest in others’ growth.
Ability to influence across organizational levels, particularly senior leaders.
Specialized knowledge of defining, documenting, and implementing Asset Management and Configuration Management processes for both hardware and software CIs.
Experience with REST API development.
