Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior IT Analyst within the CAT information Technology team to contribute to the delivery and upkeep of strategic procurement systems and data platforms. will become familiar with important initiatives, business procedures, personnel, and data that influence our procurement at the enterprise level. Incumbent will work with a combination of SaaS cloud solutions from vendors, Snowflake as a data platform, and custom apps created to make procurement functions possible.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield Office, Bangalore, India

  What you will do

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis and data modeling to develop and support enterprise procurement data platform and integrate it with upstream sources and downstream consumers of data.
   
• Experience designing, building, and testing system integrations across mainly different systems.
   
• Competent to perform all system implementation, enhancement, and support assignments without close supervision.
   
• Acts as team leader for development and support groups; provides development and application/technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to other team members.
   
• Works directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls.
   
• Translate business requirements into detail system requirements/specification to deliver a complete technology solution potentially across multiple systems;
   
• Performs development/system configuration and supports customer/user acceptance testing.
   
• Performs implementation and integration tasks for medium to large, complex in-house developed systems and/or purchased software solutions.

Candidates will have:

• The position typically requires a college or university degree or equivalent experience.
•  In addition, five to ten years of progressively responsible job-related experiences are typically required.
•  More than three years’ experience with SQL, Snow SQL and/or Python.
• Working experience in databases like Snowflake, Oracle.
• Experience with integration middleware technologies. 
• Deploying software using CI/CD tools such as Azure Devops
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS.

  Procurement process or systems knowledge from previous work experience

• Discusses with line areas on data, technology and application integration issues.
• Advises others in how to integrate projects across multiple technologies.

Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Ensures capture of lessons to be learned from a problem-solving effort.
• Organizes potential problem solvers and leads problem resolution efforts.
• Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate.
• Contributes to standard practices for problem-solving approaches, tools, and processes.
• Analyzes and synthesizes information and devises alternative resolution strategies.
• Develops successful resolutions to critical or wide-impact problems.
