a Senior Software Engineer. Help us design, develop and improve our Entertainment web-based analytic tools and applications. You will be analytical and data driven in your role, working as part of a cross functional Specialist Departments, Datawarehouse, Software Engineering & Site Reliability Engineering teams. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have following key accountabilities:
• Client-centric software development, focusing on quality every step of the way
• Provide guidance on technology, library and tooling choices to the team
• Avoid scope-creep, over-engineering, under-testing and technical debt
• Learning our business domains
• Using good software engineering principles and best practices to solve business problems
• Intra-team and Cross-team collaboration with Product Managers, Data Engineers, Software Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers
• Mentoring of Software Engineers
Experience
• 5 years+ in full-stack web development
• 5 years+ in Javascript, Node.js and PHP/Python
• 5 years+ in frontend and backend frameworks
• Cross-team collaboration in large organisations and Agile Methodology experience
• Willingness to use the appropriate tool for the job, not just the latest "hot" technology
