Our mission is to improve the quality of decisions taken on our assets and across our Disease Areas through excellent market, customer, and competitor analytics. This role will focus on supporting the analytics and forecast for oncology products. This is the place to really develop your business acumen with exposure to the latest updates across the business from the most recent studies to product innovations.
Accountabilities:
As a Senior Forecasting Analyst, you will lead data analytics and manage the AZ Epi Datawarehouse with guidance from GA&I Associate Directors / Directors. You will support performance reporting and data analysis to identify strategic insights. You will tap into AZ purchased datasets to provide analytical evidence to support forecast assumptions. You will also help build internal data analytics capability to support evidence generation within the team. You will work with GA&I forecast leads to ensure that the latest epi is updated and available in the AZ epi Datawarehouse.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in a science or mathematics discipline
- 4+ years of analytics & forecasting experience
- Strong data analytics and modelling skills using tools like SPSS/SAS/PYTHON etc
- Expertise in oncology epidemiology and experience using multiple data sources from healthcare data and analytics companies like Cerner Enviza, DRG, IQVIA, and sources such as American Cancer Society, Global Cancer Observatory
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, excellent numerical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
- Current or previous oncology experience is required.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Master’s degree in a science or mathematics discipline
- Experience of working with a pharma product close to launch or post-launch
- RWE analysis experience (e.g. claim data analysis, ATU analysis)
- Experience managing a team and developing junior team member
