As Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for cash collection of accounts overdue, ensuring that the accounts in arrears are minimal and DSO remains below the agreed global target.

The Role

• Collection of outstanding invoices for assigned clients, including reconciliations and bad debt review
• Working towards Cash and AR reduction targets
• Maintaining and updating AR database including contacts and follow up history
• Showing initiative and drive in query resolution process
• Building strong working relationships with the Sponsors/Customers and internal stakeholders
• Interface with Project Management, Contracts and other departments to obtain up to date information concerning contracts, change orders and billing related issues that impact collections
• Develop/Change/Enhancement of policies and procedures as necessary, including documentation
• Assist manager with ad hoc reports and special projects as need

What you need

• Financial understanding with the ability to interpret data (analytical skills)
• Understanding of Order-To-Cash Cycle
• Minimum 5 years of experience of global cash collections with diverse multiple customer and contracting entity billing environments
• Demonstrate teamwork, energy, responsiveness, decision-making, and effectiveness
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and influencing skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS office package, particularly Excel.
• Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to show persistence
• Qualified or Semi-Qualified Professional Accountancy Qualification (CPA/ CWA/CA/ CMA)
• Experience of large ERP financial systems. Specific Oracle Financials experience is desirable but not a prerequisite.
