Senior Engineering Manager

Senior Manager Engineering role is pivotal to the success of the Cloud agent.

In this capacity, you will be responsible to lead and manage a team of diverse individuals to align and deliver robust and scalable software that meets business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all stages of the development life cycle: initial analysis, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, and support.
• Perform code and design reviews on a regular basis
• Help troubleshoot open issues and bug fixes; enhance design to prevent recurring defects.
• Ensure on-time delivery and hand-offs
• Effectively communicate execution, capacity, resource plans, and priorities to team members and stakeholders.
• Oversee technical support and maintenance of the product to ensure best-in-class customer experience and satisfaction.
• Mentor, motivate, coach the team and provide direct, timely performance feedback to the direct reports.
• Foster high-performance culture in an Agile environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, product management, SecOPS, and DevOps. Build relationships with all functional areas and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to timely deliver on the product roadmap.
• Manage adherence to mandatory software disciplines like audit compliance and security practices
• Stay abreast of current trends, industry best practices, and applicable technologies, including scripting, security issues, authoring tools, modern design tools, and new languages.
• Demonstrates knowledge and extensive experience in software development, system architecture and technical design.
• Experienced with development practices, including code reviews, refactoring, unit testing, source control, continuous integration, automated testing, stakeholder demos, etc.
• Excellent team player capable of working with all levels within the organization.
• Experience working with a team composed of varying levels of experience e.g. holding a conversation with Junior and Senior members in the group with equal ease
• Ability to participate and engage with development teams to help solve or overcome technical/engineering challenges.
• The customer-centric approach with an inquisitive mind to always question on customer's behalf.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience from a reputed institute
• 12years of professional experience with expertise in C/C++ design and programming on Unix platforms
• 3years of direct management experience
• Comfortable with Agile Software Development methodology
• Passionate to build and lead a team.
• Adequate exposure to design and build large-scale multi-tenant solutions.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills. Well-versed with data structure and algorithms.
• Good knowledge of multi-threading, thread synchronizations, and parallel processing
• Innovative thinker and adept at building high-performance application
• Excellent communication skills and should be able to engage with different teams to seek technical clarification or build consensus.
• Mentor junior team members in technical matters
• Self-driven, quick learner, and motivate the team to explore new approaches
