As Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for Business Process Leader (BPL) for engineering in SAP/ERP for Baker Hughes Industrial Valves business.


As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for:


  • Issuing and maintaining related procedure and work instructions that drives efficient work and Engineering deliverables harmonization across Engineering Groups.
  • Providing support and training to users, collecting users feedback, identifying opportunities of improvement and proposing solutions and changes.
  • Providing reports and indicators to Engineering Management.
  • Engineering BPL is a representative of SAP ERP Engineering Users to the Digital Technology organization, for software changes, upgrades and for problem reports.
  • Engineering will be assigned to lead improvement projects that aims to optimize business processes and to implement the digital strategy of Valves Organization, working closely with other functions BPL
  • Engineering BPL has communication skills and technical knowledge that allows him to interact both with the Valves Engineering community and Software developers and architects.
  • Owning the short-term roadmap for MVPs.
  • Prioritizing continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of Engineering community problems and needs.
  • Demonstrating expert level skill in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity.
  • Engaging frequently (80%) with the development team; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions
  • Owning and manage the backlog; continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready
  • Collaborating with UX in design decisions, demonstrating deep understanding of technology stack and impact on final product
  • Demonstrating superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between digital team, product manager and engineering team
  • Demonstrating excelling business acumen, knows latest industry trends and is looked at as an internal expert on the product as well as the associated competitive landscape
  • Mentoring junior team members.

To be successful in this role you will:


  • Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Have minimum 10+ years of professional experience.
  • Have Experience working in Agile engineering environment.
  • Have Familiarity with versatile implementation options, including SAP, SAP Ariba, Team Center and Rules stream.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Have excellent Interpersonal and leadership skills and able to work independently.
  • Have Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Have Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Have Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Have Effective problem identification and solution
