As an Engineer you’ll be part of a team of smart, highly skilled technologists who are passionate about learning and prototyping cutting-edge technologies. Right now, our platform is based in ESRI, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Mongo, Postgres, Azure and we continue to adopt the best of breed in cloud-native, lowlatency technologies. We value CI/CD in everything that we develop. Our team is co-located and agile, with central technology hubs in Chicago, Madrid, Toronto, Chennai and Pune.
Responsibilities:
- As an ESRI GIS developer, you would be responsible for designing and implementing GIS (Geographic Information System) solutions using ESRI's software suite and integrating it with Angular technology-based frontend.
- Evaluate the best approach to solve problems.
- Understanding user needs and how they fit into the overall, global solution design.
- Following source & test-driven development best practices.
- Troubleshooting and identifying root cause analysis while resolving the issues.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the application development team.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend solutions that enhance our mobile capabilities.
- Ensure code quality, security, scalability, and performance by implementing best practices and code reviews. Required Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge and experience with ESRI's ArcGIS platform, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS online, ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Ability to architect and design scalable, high-performance GIS solutions using ESRI technologies.
- Experience in designing and configuring ArcGIS Enterprise deployments, including server infrastructure, load balancing, and high availability.
- Proficiency in web front end technologies, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks like Angular, React or VueJS.
- Familiar with data visualization techniques and Geospatial data representation.
- Strong Understanding of GIS Concepts, Data models, Geodatabases and Spatial Analysis.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Python scripting, and other programing languages used in GIS Development.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and experience with deploying and managing GIS solutions in the cloud.
- Understanding of enterprise-level IT infrastructure, including databases, networking, security, and system integration.
- Familiar with Geospatial data formats (ex: Shapefiles, GeoJSON, WMS, WFS).
- Understanding of UI design Principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Experience of working with SCM tools like GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Hands on experience on Azure/AWS/GCP or any other cloud technology.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Sonar, Wiz. Associate).
Qualifications
- Ability to solve complex challenges independently or with minimal assistance.
- Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across cross-functional technology teams and business stakeholders including Product Leaders, Senior Tech Leaders and Program team.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities to address complex GIS challenges.
- GIS Experience level:- 5+ years
- A bachelor's or master's degree in geography, geospatial science, computer science, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as Esri Technical Certifications (e.g., ArcGIS Desktop Professional, ArcGIS Enterprise System Design.
