Role Overview
Join Kantar as a Senior DevSecOps Engineer and demonstrate brand new DevSecOps practices to improve the security and efficiency of our software systems. Your role will focus on operational flawlessness, security, and mentoring Junior DevOps Engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and promote code and infrastructure deployment across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments, implementing automation wherever possible to ensure seamless operations.
Develop and maintain standards and procedures to ensure flawless application deployments across environments with minimal or no downtime.
Collaborate with the QA function to provide sign-off and change management for production deployments.
Work closely with Developers and DevOps Architects to troubleshoot and resolve issues in deployed systems.
Design and implement proactive monitoring and alerting strategies to ensure system reliability.
Create and maintain build definitions and release processes with integrated testing mechanisms.
Maintain and support build servers to ensure consistent and reliable build processes.
Coordinate with third-party IT providers to integrate their solutions within our existing infrastructure.
Serve as the coordination point for blocking issues and problems related to automation.
Gather requirements for the design, development, and deployment of new solutions.
Conduct root cause analysis to improve existing solutions and prevent recurrence of issues.
Implement process engineering and operational improvement initiatives for cloud automation tooling.
Implement scheduled and unscheduled automation support for various technology domains.
Evaluate existing applications and platforms, providing recommendations for performance improvements.
Collaborate with Architects to design service automation in cloud environments, focusing on Infrastructure-as-code.
Capabilities and experience
Experience
Over 4 years of experience in a DevOps or DevSecOps role.
Proven familiarity with software versioning control systems such as VSO, GIT, Jira, or similar.
Extensive experience with IaaS/PaaS/SaaS cloud solutions.
Demonstrated experience working in an agile methodology environment.
Proven track record dealing with real-time production systems.
Skills
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.
Expertise in cloud automation tools like ARM, CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar.
Advanced knowledge of maintaining Azure DevOps and building robust pipelines.
Proven expertise in Azure PaaS services, including AppServices, Azure Cosmos, and Function Apps.
Beneficial experience with Kubernetes.
Familiarity with DevOps tools such as SonarQube and Qualys WAS.
Knowledge of automating IaaS operations, including patching VMs.
Strong ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions.
Understanding of balancing cost, performance, and reliability in technical solutions.

Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
