About the Role
In this opportunity as *Senior Developer SAP BW*, you will:
- 6+ years in experience in software development and relational DB development /support/upgrade
- Take ownership of key pieces of development projects on Data Warehouse and other MI systems, partnering with senior team members within a multi-skilled project team
- Immerse yourself within the team and its architecture, contributing wherever the opportunity exists to the efficient administration of the multi-server environments.
- Design and implementation in SAP BW, according to functional/technical requirements and available technology, of complex data models (incl Coordination of activities, in operations and projects, within the BI Support team, with other stakeholders, the Business Analysts, SAP Functionals team, IT and key-users, for collecting and analysing requirements, tests and UAT activities, deployment to production, troubleshooting and support
- Design and develop methods of extraction for data from multiple sources SAP & non-SAP).
- Collaborate with Architects and Portal Admins for design and development of reporting. Writes high quality code according to specifications always keeping in mind reusability.
- Leads and mentors more junior developers in defining application system scope and objectives through research and fact finding.
- Design and develop Info Cubes, Info Objects, DSOs, Multi Providers, InfoSets, Data Transfer Processes (DTP), InfoPackages, Process Chains, Open Hubs, APDs, Exits and Transformations
- Design and develop HANA data models (Analytic Views, Calculation Views)
- Hands-on experience creating HANA data models (Analytic Views, Calculation Views)
- knowledge of SQL and ETL gained within a SQL Server environment.
- Knowledge of SAP BW 7.x, ECC 6.0,S/4, CRM 7.0
- Liaise with the team’s Business Analyst to evaluate business queries, thinking like the end user and translating these requests into technical requirements.
- Employ Agile development methodologies and proactively promote best practice and innovation and Adhere Thomson Reuters Process
- Confidently contribute to the development and refinement of our governance structures including Source Control and Release Management techniques
- Other ad hoc duties as required by the business.
- Design, develop, test and implement computer applications, reporting tools and ad hoc data modelling tools that support leadership reporting needs.
- Use data from a variety of sources to analyse complex business issues.
- Present results of analysis and/or recommendations to business managers and utility partners
- In collaboration with the BI Manager/Directors, manage team tasks to ensure agreed dates and timescales for deliverables are met.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of * Senior Developer SAP BW * if your background includes:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience with 2-3 Implementation/Support experience in implementing SAP BW 7.X, SAP BW on Hana, SAP Native Hana, SAP Hana and S/4 Embedded Analytics.
- In this position, you will be part of a team of Developers and Functional Analysts who are engaged in a large-scale effort to design, develop, implement, and support SAP BW applications and migrated S/4 HANA.
- You will implement robust development of reports/programs/enhancement to improve our ability to support various teams, interact with our stakeholders and your peer team members.
- Understanding of FCCS Dimensions and data model, application creation, Architecture knowledge of ETL tools like Data Management, Good in financial Data validation activities.
- You would be aligning the SAP BW or S/4HANA technology and related tools & frameworks with business strategy, working with the onshore or directly with the client, reviewing code written by other programmers, requirement gathering, bug fixing, testing, documenting, and implementing software systems.
- You will be expected to maintain awareness of SAP trends, technologies, best practices while excelling with constant changes.
You must have the ability to promote a spirit of partnership and collegiality across administrative and functional/Technical areas of the company. You will be expected to contribute with hands-on development
