We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Delivery Manager & Execution Lead – MSS Operations Data & Reg Reporting.


The role is for a strategic & delivery focused change lead to manage projects related to Reference Data Services within Markets & Security Services Operations.


Principal responsibilities:


  • MSS Operations Strategy and Change team manages the Change the Bank portfolio globally to support the strategy and the outcomes being targeted.
  • The role supports the Data and Regulatory Reporting department – this is a specialist, cross asset function within Markets and Securities Services (MSS) Operations, responsible for Data Operations, Collateral and Risk, Tax, Regulatory Reporting and Trade related controls, performing a range of end consumer controls, processes and regulatory linked activities for Global Markets and Security Services consumers such as Front Office Trading and Sales, Risk, Finance and Regulatory Compliance.
  • The Data Operations [DataOps] team within the Data & Regulatory team supports the producers of the following data services:
  1. Calendar, Instrument and Ratings processing
  2. Pricing & EOD Derived prices
  3. Client Account and SSI processing
  4. Client Contracts
  5. Books and Book Hierarchies 
  • The aim is to maintain a multi-year front to back transformation programme to digitize and scale Data Operations to take advantage of the opportunities that the business are targeting in the coming years

Role Context


  • Influence and indirect leadership of a multi-discipline change team, including promotion of strategic development, business case management, continuous improvement, design, and end user / process/data/technology considerations
  • The role holder will have direct control over the planning and delivery of certain project elements, and deliverables and will be required to work independently, but collaboratively as part of a wider team; required to manage multiple projects and management requests simultaneously involving interaction with various regions and functions and businesses
  • This role requires a strong self-starter with good time-management skills who enjoys the challenge of delivering process / organizational / IT change, to relevant time / cost /quality constraints
  • Ability to thrive within a constantly evolving department and play a central role in an area with a aggressive change programme, respond quickly to requests and demands, and balance short term/long term goals

Role Dimensions:


  • Role would include running projects /deliveries with a global remit, working on the project management for programmes with spend that may cover multi-million dollars over several years
  • Role is expected to contribute to transform the business and deliver the committed benefits within Markets & Security Services Operations
  • This can include a footprint of delivery is across relevant hub and satellite sites.
  • The role size will scale according to relevant funding agreed – it will have close contact with both direct (line managed staff) and indirect staff (IT, processing teams, other change teams etc).  But role holder should have experience in managing teams in excess of 20 people

Senior Change lead


  • The senior change and transformation role is accountable for leading reference data transformation in the following ways;
  • Leading the strategy, vision and documentation for the strategic blueprint for the replacement of our current legacy siloed reference Data Operations services, processes and systems into a digitally enabled reference data utility
  • Working with business stakeholders, risk owners, and data consumers across numerous transformation projects to integrate reference data to the business via ‘front to back’ business value chains through their well-developed process analysis and design consulting skills
  • Working on defining strategic and achievable designs for various elements linked to the reference data utility, encouraging the re-use of components
  • Co-working with business leads, IT teams, and architects (business & IT) to agree requirements, design, and implementation options and execution plans, including challenges to business and IT on design decisions
  • Leading with PMs and Analyst resources in the ongoing management of programme / project / change delivery structures to effectively deliver ongoing change in line with business priorities and IT capabilities, with respective resource, budget and timeline management.

Other key responsibilities


This role can act on behalf of the Head of MSS Data Programme as a primary representative to project sponsors, product owners, senior stakeholders and relevant teams, and can represent those interests at the appropriate project governance forums, design for a, and technology departments.  They work in conjunction with the various PMs to drive strategic outcomes, including benefits realization, project outcomes.


As well as functional responsibilities, this role will also act as local entity lead for Bangalore for the Data and Regulatory Reporting strategy and change function, in particular ensuring high quality employee engagement and motivation, optimal resource management across the department with high levels of collaboration and cross skilling. 


This includes support for talent development with local leadership and entity management, and supporting for the day to day management of project leads, analysts, etc, including hiring/performance mgmt./career development etc
