We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic-minded individual to fill the role of Senior Corporate Counsel for our Strategic Sourcing Divisions supporting Kroll vendors. This position will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of vendor agreements on a global scale, and ensuring the acquisition of goods and services meets the needs of our company efficiently and cost-effectively. This position will work for and with the company’s various business units, internal firm service teams, including legal, technology, information security, privacy, and finance. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional negotiation skills, legal, risk and technology knowledge. In addition, experience working with financial, risk management, and/or technology organizations is a plus.
The day-to-day responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Be an essential member of Kroll’s Strategic Sourcing Team, Corporate Services team responsible for Kroll’s vendors globally.
- Trusted advisor to Kroll stakeholders on legal issues, risk management, business strategy, and operational activities relating to Kroll’s vendors globally.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of vendor-related agreements, including product and service contracts, confidentiality agreements, SaaS, software, technology agreements, and master services agreements, for Kroll’s global internal firm service departments and business teams.
- Provide commercial advice regarding compliance requirements, business risks, and other geographical-based considerations for Kroll’s vendors.
- Assist with managing vendor workflows, including diligence requirements, while recognizing business priorities, to ultimately advance enterprise goals and firm values for Kroll’s sourcing process.
- Assist with further development of RFP, bid process, policies, forms, and similar documents.
- Perform legal research in relation to new or newly applicable legislation and on more specific points of law in the applicable region, as needed.
- Partner with legal, privacy, information security, technology, and other internal firm service departments involved in vendor process.
- Support escalation protocols for relevant legal, regulatory, and risk matters and trends.
- Provide training to Kroll stakeholders on applicable legal issues.
Requirements and skills:
- Qualified Lawyer with at least 6-7 years of experience
- LLM or Master of Labor Laws would be an added advantage
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues.
- Ability to work with senior management and be a trusted advisor.
- Strong organization, negotiation, communication, and drafting/writing skills.
- Strategic mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Must be capable of operating in tandem with colleagues in a highly collaborative fashion and execute assigned tasks with precision, thoughtfulness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and creatively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage confidential, sensitive information.
- Experience with modern sourcing, procurement systems, and technology a plus.
- Solid law firm training and/or in-house experience with a regional or global technology and/or professional services company, a plus.
- Strong PC Skills, Microsoft Office applications.
