Role: Senior Consultant, Global Supply Chain & Customer Care, TOM Reporting

Location: Pune, India

The Senior GSC Consultant oversees Total Order Management (T.O.M.) and global process governance in areas like reporting, planning, order management, master data, invoicing, and logistics. This role requires domain expertise, technical knowledge, and leadership skills to manage a globally dispersed team and influence without direct authority. Key responsibilities include improving process stability, leading change programs, and directing user training. Up to 10% travel is expected.


What you will be doing?

System Design Authority


  • Apply specialized expertise to manage system architectures (current and future state)
  • Propose and approve system changes to prioritize resolving most impactful business challenges without compromising operational performance
  • Identify integration points of proposed system changes to ensure testing is complete and comprehensive
  • Anticipate potential design challenges by reviewing and signoff of testing (including regression testing) prior to the implementation of system changes

Training and Education


  • Lead and convene business community of authorities and domain experts for functional area
  • Leverage specialized knowledge to ensure end-user training and education is globally available and accessible for all relevant internal users
  • Effectively communicates system changes / issues and translate technical improvements / incidents to convey impact to business users
  • Identify areas for improvement and educate business users on standard methodologies

System Testing


  • Review and participate as required in the development or modification of existing testing scripts to create adequate test plans for unit, functional, system and end user testing
  • Educate and prepare the super users and SME’s for participating in various testing of system functionality and regression testing through to defect resolution.

Leadership


  • Leads IT teams and business users to solve complex problems and find innovative solutions for resolution and prevention of system and process issues
  • Skills in influencing and motivating others to achieve desired outcomes by offering inputs and suggestions from various functions.
  • Demonstrates integrity, is perceived as trustworthy and honourable within work environment
  • Seeks out and applies learning opportunities to develop skills and capabilities. Seeks to be coached by others.
  • Uses feedback to improve performance
  • Effectively communicates complex concepts in a simplified manner and interacts with business users and IT counterparts throughout all levels of the organization
  • Ability to adjust schedules, tasks and priorities when necessary

Change Management


  • Identify and address any obstacles related to cultural diversity and process improvements that may hinder the smooth operation of day-to-day activities and system upgrades.
  • Collaborate with team members for best solutions. Respect diverse cultures and views of colleagues and team members
  • Participate as required in relevant workshops and other forums
  • Builds relationships with team members, business community and IT colleagues
  • Builds credibility and trust by demonstrating that actions match words

Quality Management


  • Advances any identified issues or potential risk and communicates to GSC
  • Business Consultants team, IT leadership team and business leadership teams
  • Contributes to adherence to all relevant compliance bodies and regulations including but not limited to quality, regulatory, legal and financial (e.g. QMS, FDA, SOX)
  • Submits invoices and expenses according to policies and processes
  • Completes performance management documents on time and in good quality

Performs other duties as required


What you need to be successful?


  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Computer Science, MIS or a Finance-related curriculum; or related work experience
  • Experience: 8 or more years’ work experience with system implementation projects in a mid to large size corporate environment
  • International or cross-cultural work experience required
  • Experience in the medical device industry is preferred
  • Demonstrated success in working with multi-functional, globally dispersed teams
  • Strong process orientation, problem solving and fix skills
  • Strong interpersonal and analytic skills.
  • Ability to interface and influence without authority across multiple organizational levels.
  • High degree of self-motivation and superb communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing under tight timelines.
  • Digital literacy.
