Overall Summary:We are seeking an Calypso Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in developing large-scale Java software solutions within an object-oriented environment, with a focus on enhancing functionalities in Calypso and Murex platforms.
Responsibilities:- Develop large-scale Java software solutions in an object-oriented environment.
- Enhance functionalities within the Calypso and Murex platforms.
- Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices in a DevOps environment.
- Deploy scalable solutions using AWS or other cloud providers.
- Apply FX product knowledge to financial services solutions effectively.
Software Requirements:- Proficient in Java development and object-oriented programming.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience working with Calypso and Murex platforms (preference for Calypso).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud deployment, preferably AWS.
Category-wise Technical Skills:Must Have:
- Extensive experience in developing large software solutions using Java.
- Proficiency in relational databases.
- Experience in a DevOps environment with CI/CD practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in the financial services industry, particularly with investment banks, covering front or back office operations.
Good to Have:
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka and Solace.
- Understanding of FX product knowledge.
Experience:- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in software development, specifically within the financial services sector.
Day-to-Day Activities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define project scope.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications on the Calypso platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues in the development and production environments.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies, implementing them where applicable.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in software development or cloud technologies are a plus.
Soft Skills:- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptability to changing environments and priorities.
