Senior Automation Test Engineer

What success looks like in this role:

Applies advanced test quality methods, theories and research techniques. Responsible for testing and maintaining web-based custom applications for the organization. Provides technical support for developed applications. Provides application software testing services and technical support typically in a defined project. Tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications. Analyzes requirements and maintains, tests, and integrates application components. Ensures that test strategy is successfully implemented. Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Provides problem resolution that may be non-standard within defined practices and procedures. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Able to apply theories, concepts, principles, and methodologies to difficult but conventional assignments. Works independently within an established framework. Demonstrates experience / certifications.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of  5 years of experience in a broad range of automation ecosystems and SRE
• 3+ years of experience in leading a team expert automation engineer
• Establishing and evolving formal Test automation practices, test processes, methodology, standards, and hygiene for agile development efforts.
• Leading and mentoring Test automation team members across a global team
• Leading a Test automation strategy, test design /plan, test automation, and drive test execution for application services initiatives.
• Building and executing automated test scripts with automation tools like Selenium/Webdriver, FitNesse, Appium and other similar tools
• Defect tracking and test case management using software systems like Jira
• Scripting with Perl, Shell Scripting, Python
• End to end automation testing through Selenium or equivalent tools
• End to end functional testing through Cucumber or equivalent tools
• API testing through tools such as SOAPUI, Postman, ReadyAPI
• UI/UX testing through Jest, Enzyme, Jasmine, Protractor
• Designing automated test scripts that are reusable
• Ensuring that all automated testing related activities are carried out as per the standards defined by the company
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
