Department Profile The Central Risk team within Institutional Securities Group (ISG) functions as a first line of defense to facilitate the identification, assessment, monitoring, reporting and mitigation of ISG non-financial risks (NFRs) as defined by the Firm's risk taxonomy and provides coverage globally for Institutional Equities, Fixed Income, Global Capital Markets, Investment Banking and Research. The ISG Central Risk Team is primarily responsible for the establishment of NFR governance, the creation of minimum standards and best practices, and the review/establishment of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and related thresholds across the businesses. The ISG Central Risk team fulfils a front office advisory role as the first line of defence and acts in collaboration with divisional Business Control Units (BCUs) and Business Managers. Responsibilities Include: Create management reports to highlight issues, trends, new regulatory changes etc. Engaging with ISG BCUs and Service Owners in complying with Firm Third Party-related initiatives, policies and procedures and associated relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including the Material Outsourcing Framework. Partner with stakeholders to design and implement new reports or processes, or enhance existing procedures, to assist ISG in managing its third party risk. Act as an ISG Subject Matter Expert in third party related systems, processes, and policies. Coordinate the remediation of identified ISG Third Party action items. Proactively identify, monitor, and report key third party risks across ISG. Support the broader ISG NFR Central Risk team with responses to third-party related regulatory exams, audits (internal and external) and Compliance monitoring and testing. Attend relevant working groups as the ISG-representative and support completion of Third Party Risk Management Program updates / initiatives. Escalate any priority items / actions to relevant leadership as required.
