Senior Associate - Procurement Operations

You will be part of Global Services Team, which comprises procurement, real estate, and facilities management functions. We are responsible for delivering value by providing safe, efficient, and effective procurement and real estate services to Thomson Reuters businesses and functional operations. Our overarching mission is to ensure our colleagues spend less time and energy on ordering Services, ensuring their primary focus is building great content and products that delight TR customers and grow TR business.
Global Procurement is the organization which manages and optimizes the third party spend of Thomson Reuters. Our mission is to partner with our stakeholder to acquire the right goods and services at best value and within an acceptable risk perimeter to drive our corporate objectives. In order to achieve our mission, we integrate and manage a highly complex network of products, services, processes, technologies and suppliers across all Thomson Reuters locations worldwide.
About the Role:
In this role as a Senior Associate, Procurement Operations, you will:
Monitor travel expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with travel policies and procedures. Collaborate with various departments to improve travel operations. Develop and maintain travel databases and dashboards.
Expense report review: Reviewing and approving employee expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
Reimbursement management: Overseeing the reimbursement process to ensure timely and accurate payments
Policy compliance: Ensuring compliance with global travel and expense policies and guidelines
Employee communication: Keeping employees informed of initiatives and changes that impact travelers.
Customer inquiries: Handling customer inquiries related to travel and expense reimbursements
Corporate card management: Processing corporate card applications and making payments to vendors.
Reconciliations: Preparing monthly reconciliations of corporate card statements.
OBJECTIVES
Collect and analyze travel data from various sources.
Identify trends and provide actionable insights to optimize travel strategies.
Prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Monitor travel expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance with travel policies and procedures.
Collaborate with various departments to improve travel operations.
Develop and maintain travel databases and dashboards.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends.
Evaluate the performance of travel vendors and negotiate contracts.
Assist in the development and implementation of travel policies.
Provide support and training to employees on travel-related matters.
Analyze the impact of travel on the company's budget and financial performance.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with travel.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to travel.
Assist in the planning and execution of corporate travel programs.
About You:
You are a fit for the Senior Associate - Procurement Operations role , if your background includes:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience Required : 3 - 6 Years of Work Experience
Mode of Working: Hybrid (2 days mandatory Work from Office in a week
Proven experience as a Travel Analyst or in a similar role.
Strong experience into Data Reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of the travel industry and market trends.
Experience with travel management systems and software.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
