What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be primarily responsible for supporting the delivery of safe, reliable and employee focused facilities management and site services to our office in Hyderabad, India.
Support in delivery of facilities management and workplace services: At the direction of the Sr. Facilities Manager, ensure the reliable, safe delivery of fit for purpose facilities management, workplace amenity and maintenance services at our India office.
Integrated Service Provider (ISP) performance management: At this site, facility management and workplace services may be primarily driven by third party providers. A key responsibility of the role will be to coordinate with the business and providers, ensuring a healthy relationship and that their work product is aligned with the overall Facilities Management strategy. Where applicable, ensure compliance with Amgen processes and procedures. Another aspect of the role will be to ensure providers meet agreed contractual results via SLAs and performance metrics.
Support office with facility management and workplace services requests: This position would support the Sr. Facilities Manager to resolve facilities and workplace, related issues. Support of site business with reception, visitors, catering and other office wide coordination duties.
Support oversight of site amenities, cafeteria, and catering services: Daily, making our offices comfortable and attractive for staff as well as maintaining a productive environment is a key pillar of Amgen’s workplace strategy.
Building landlord engagement: As required this position may need to collaborate with building landlords in implementing maintenance roles and responsibilities, ownership to ensure proper upkeep of building common areas.
Emergency management and business continuity: Working closely with safety (EHSS) role and Security in support of emergency management services including building evacuations and ensure business continuity through crisis situations.
Support Amgen’s environmental sustainability plan in the region: Working closely with commercial affiliate and site leadership this role will play a key role in supporting the company’s environmental sustainability plan in key areas such as utilities optimization, consumables, and waste management.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of experience in facilities management or related areas such as Security, Environmental Health & Safety, capital construction projects or other similar operational roles
Or
Master's degree or Post Graduate Diploma with 1 to 3+ years of experience in facilities management or related areas such as Security, Environmental Health & Safety, capital construction projects or other similar operational roles
Experience managing or delivery of third-party integrated service providers. Capabilities in supplier management including performance management and contract management.
Knowledge of sourcing, invoicing, and financial review to support overall business budgeting.
Customer/hospitality focused industry experience with a balanced knowledge of operations and workplace amenities.
Knowledge of facilities, work order management processes, maintenance planning and scheduling systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity within the life sciences industry, laboratories, manufacturing and common regulatory standards around the discovery, development, and production of human therapeutics.
Familiarity in optimizing productivity through operational excellence and use of continuous improvement techniques such as lean, six-sigma etc.
Familiar with change management practices and thorough communication.
Soft Skills:
Experience in supporting multiple key customers and business partners, in understanding business needs, requirements and supporting fit for purpose business solutions. Key business partners for this role include among others commercial affiliate leadership, HR, Finance, Global Security, Corporate Real Estate and Construction Project Management.
Candidate requires limited guidance, is mostly proactive, independent, and adaptable. Flexible to adjust workload based on changing priorities.
