Job Description


We are seeking a motivated and experienced Effectiveness Lead to oversee the department’s performance and drive continuous improvement to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness for the business. The individual must provide thought leadership in strategy development & implementation quality, process enhancements, training & development, and collaboration & employee engagement. This role will have a strong focus on overall reporting and service evolution for the department. The ideal candidate will liaise with key stakeholders from internal and external teams, ensuring compliance with standard processes & methodologies across our organization.


This role is vital for ensuring that the organization operates efficiently and effectively, aligning its structure and culture with the business objectives.


We are looking for someone with a passion for quality and the effectiveness of service and operations within an IT organization!


Key responsibilities:


Reporting and Documentation:


  • Lead or contribute to the preparation of monthly reports, budgets, business cases, service level agreements, and vendor performance evaluations.
  • Build compelling narratives from provided information and reports, tailoring them appropriately for different audiences.

Process Analysis and Improvement:


  • Evaluate current processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflows, reduce waste and quantify the business value delivered.
  • Create a robust mechanism to consolidate the department’s performance monitoring, reporting, and overall view of operations.

Communication and Collaboration:


  • Communicate effectively and professionally with internal customers, senior management, vendors, and peers globally.
  • Adeptly manage diverse communication mediums, including newsletters, email broadcasts, and town halls.

Resource & Knowledge Management:


  • Experienced in resource management, key partner management, and knowledge management.
  • Collaborate closely with third-party suppliers to ensure they adhere to the same effectiveness goals as internal teams.
  • Manage and elevate relationships with key suppliers, setting performance standards and leading the resolution of issues.

Data Quality and Reporting Insights:


  • Implement a comprehensive approach to support all Service Owners in achieving data quality.
  • Provide key operational insights to enable more efficient capacity management and service improvement initiatives.
  • Understand the impact of new technologies and changes in service offerings, taking proactive measures to ensure future compliance and adjustment of reporting and effectiveness measurement methods.

Compliance and Risk Management:


  • Drive and coordinate frequent infrastructure and operations hygiene activities to ensure departmental compliance and risk reduction.
  • Continuously review and drive departmental training compliance

Essential Skills & Experience


  • A proactive self-starter, able to manage complex workloads and contending priorities autonomously.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Confident in principles of project/programme management
  • Highly skilled at collaborating with and driving outcomes from cross-functional teams.
  • Able to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Skilled in Microsoft O365 tools. Asana, ServiceNow and PowerBI experience advantageous.  

Qualifications Required:


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, or related field.
  • Experience with Project/programme management
  • 8-12 years’ experience in effectively driving organizational improvements and aligning strategies with business goals
  • Professional certificates for Power BI or any other reporting tools are preferable.
