Senior Associate - Database Administration

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining databases: Configuring, maintaining, and monitoring database servers and processes.
• Resolving incidents: Owning, tracking, and resolving database-related incidents and requests.
• Provide estimates and task planning as needed to support business cases and portfolio prioritization.
• Respond to requests for database administration of corporate or business practice databases. 
• Work directly with applications owners and support personnel to ensure service level agreements are enabled in technical infrastructure.
• Specify software and hardware in support of database requirements.
• Install and deploy database solutions to achieve service level agreements.
• Monitor and assess database performance and recommend tuning modifications to maintain service level agreements.
• Participate in capacity planning for storage, servers and network components as needed to ensure performance and service level agreements.
• Maintain up-to-date data dictionary and resolve data conflicts with users.
• Familiar with cloud technology such as (Azure / AWS).
• Provide on-call support for database support as needed to ensure operational and project objectives.
• Stay current with database technology advances to enable production support and incident resolution that meets service level agreements.
• Document databases in support of system development life cycle compliance.

You will best be set up for success in this role if you have:

•            BA/BS in related field and 3 – 6 years of experience with SQL Server data base technologies, including SQL, T-SQL, SSIS development, & Windows.

•            Strong experience of relational databases, backup and restore operations, AOAG / HA, locking, mirroring, clustering, DB logins/permissions, stored procedures, schema, triggers, database maintenance / troubleshooting activity.

•            Advanced knowledge of writing SQL and T-SQL scripts.

•            Experience with data warehouse deployment in cloud/virtual environments including mount points.

•            Experience with system development lifecycle methodologies, deliverables, controls.

•            Experience with cloud technologies (Azure / AWS).

Your resume will stand out if you also have:

•            Experience with other database technologies such as: Postgres and Elastic search is a plus.

•            Experience with database monitoring tools such as Spotlight or Foglight is a plus.

•            MSFT SQL Server Certification preferred

•            Experience and knowledge of service-oriented architecture preferred.

•            Experience with E-Discovery for kCura Relativity a significant plus

•            Background in system engineering (server, networking, security, etc.) preferred.
