We are a global leader in food ingredient and taste, offering our customers a broad range of solutions for the food & beverage industry.We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual with food ingredient experience to join the Food Ingredient team as Senior Application Specialist, Beverage.Your Focus As a Senior Application Specialist, Beverage, you will be responsible for leading and managing beverage customer projects. This is a customer facing role and requires you to work closely with Commercial, Marketing and Product Managers to convert Innovation, Consumer Insights, Market Trends and Project Briefs into solutions for the customers, their brands, and their consumers. You will also support the enabling process of local and regional business initiatives.This is a Gurugram, India based position and will report to India Application Leader.How You Will ContributeLead beverage projects in development of new solutions and application or modification of existing products, recipes and/or processes based on needs of our customers as well as enlarge IFF solution and concept pool for future business opportunities.Provide timely technical support and knowledge, using textural, stabilizing ingredients including hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, enzyme, protein and other functional ingredient into beverage applications, to internal and external customers with prioritization based on customer status and project business impact. Specifically:Professional and timely responses in line with agreed timeframes.Accurate and detailed technical project work and associated reports.Cost effective approaches and solutions to technical support projects.Run laboratory trials on formulations of various beverage products, as required.Ensure all activities are in line with IFF policies, business strategies and Global Innovation Rules as well as safe, hygienic and efficient day-to-day operations of the Beverage laboratory and facilities.Regularly update and maintain technical self-note into relevant IFF databases that the company may develop and introduce from time to time.Commitment to all company’s policies, rules and regulations and IFF quality and continuous improvement programs.Attend and contribute to relevant knowledge meetings and various Company local and regional conferences, trade exhibitions and business meetings where required.Assist and support line manager for projects, Technical-Service-Requests development, project and lab management.Share and present IFF products’ knowledge and application technology to internal and external customers. Help to troubleshoot in design formulation and processing related issues.Guide and mentor junior team members where required. Conducting assigned technical related projects with minimal supervision and any other tasks or projects assigned by the Application Leader.What you will need to be successfulB.Tech or M.Tech Degree in Food Technology or any other relevant discipline.Minimum 10-12 years of experience handling product development in beverage category (Protein Beverage, Specialized Nutritional Beverage – RTD, DBB) or any similar role within food manufacturing, food ingredients industry.Strong Knowledge of Proteins and Hydrocolloids.Good understanding of plant, milk-fermented drink, dry blended beverage, nutritional benefits in protein beverages and agglomerations would be highly regarded.Knowledge of beverage raw materials, processing and regulations governing the use of these ingredients within the food and beverage industries.Strong knowledge of beverage applications, formulation, manufacturing processes, and troubleshooting.Strong project management and experimental design skills.Good familiarity with Microsoft suite apart from Application related IT System or Application.Logical, methodical, analytical thought process capable with accuracy and high attention to details.Proactive and self-motivation, ability to engage across all levels.Strong project management skills, prioritizing workload to meet multiple deadlines.Agility to adapt.Technical problem-solving skills.Planning, time management, organizational skills and influencing skills.We are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
