About This Team:
General ledger Team supports USGAAP accounting, reporting and local GAAP statutory audits of the CSG entities for APJ and EMEA. The team works through regional controllers and used ORACLE/SAP ERP.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Works to achieve operational targets with major impact on the departmental results.
- Responsible for preparation and Review of the month-end, quarter and year-end financial statements in US GAAP.
- Manage the statutory audit requirements in Local GAAP for APJ/EMEA entities. End to End ownership of the audits for engagement of the auditor to signing off.
- Preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly and yearly variance analysis for Balance Sheet and Income Statement to the management. Preparation and presentation of periodical expenses analysis and analysis of Balance Sheet accounts to the management.
- Compile and review the monthly US GAAP MIS package.
- Coordinate and support team members on the monthly close process and provide daily status updates to the US Corporate Office and EMEA stakeholders.
- Provide guidance to the team in managing their audit entities.
- Keeping a track of to do actions for multiple entities together.
- Coordinate with the Tax and Legal teams as required and provide information required for purposes of direct and indirect tax compliances.
- Answer queries and information request of the Group auditors in USA.
- Assist in documenting, creating, developing and maintaining policies and procedures
- Participate in special projects and perform ad-hoc tasks and analysis
- Required Experience/Skills:
- Recognized subject matter expert.
- Manage large projects or processes.
- Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to lower level employees.
- Operational targets with major impact on department results.
- Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
- Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline. May have broad knowledge of project management.
- Professional degree (CA and equivalent) or Masters degree in commerce/ accounting is required
- 6-8 years’ experience in working for a US multinational finance support center
