Position-: Security Officer (Technical)
Business-: Property and Asset Management, Brookfield Properties Downtown Powai
Reporting Manager-: Security Manager
Roles & Responsibilities-:
Security officer Technical will be part of the Property Management team based at the site and will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of Security and Security Technical assets are well maintained and 100% functional 365days in consultation with the Security Manager. He will be managing the following:
- Security Officer – Technical will be solely responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all technical assets such as, CCTV, Access Control, TVS, AI, RFID Boom Barriers, Networks and Fibre Leasing, BOQs, PR/PO, new system developments, Market study and implementation of new ideas and technologies and time to time MIS.
- Maintaining and updating Security Policies and Procedures at site, especially updating/ establishing specific security procedures and crime deterrent programs.
- Ensure all vendors, visitors entry made within VMS & registers in respective Clusters before allow entry.
- Responsible for CCTV serviceability & Information Technology security.
- He will be responsible for the preparation of BOQ, inviting basic quotations, PR, PO, Vendor onboarding process etc. to complete the task.
- He will bring the new developments and new systems introduced in market for better management at BP sites.
- SO will, on behalf of security manager will be responsible for ensuring adherence to SOP on CCTV, IT security, maintenance, access control & upkeep of CCTV rooms, training of operators.
- He will ensure that the recording of 30 days is available with all DVRs/NVRs. Escalate & record any deviation.
- Carry out daily/ monthly checks & audits.
- Ensure Permission to view CCTV footage will not be granted to anyone except Authorized personnel.
- Will be responsible for maintaining Asset inventory, access log, repair/ maintenance logs, training records & audit sheets.
- Monthly tracker of CCTV state will be forwarded to Security manager.
- Will ensure correct daily check of CCTV cameras by security.
- On emergency, will man CCTV room & if required retrieve hard drives of NVR/DVR.
- Recommend any additional location requiring CCTV coverage to Security manager.
- Take part in Emergency mock drills.
- He is assigned Responsibility for Maintenance.
- He will ensure Serviceability of equipment, minor repair/ replacements & oversee work of vendors in case of major repair/ replacement.
- Will respond to any major breakdown immediately.
- Carry out monthly inspection of equipment and carry out minor tasks like: -
Tighten loose connections. Cleaning of lens if required. Check NVR/ DVRs. Functional checks. Troubleshoot of fibre cable of internet connectivity. Configure networking switches, modems, routers etc.
- Escalate to Security manager on any major repair / replacement of equipment which cannot be undertaken by him.
- Ensure vendor coming to site for any CCTV work adheres to safety process.
- Maintain record of all repair/ replacements.
- Ensure Removable media device should not be connected to the system unless authorized by the system administrator. Ensure the date and time stamps of the system are accurate and synchronized.
- Ensuring complete documentation and Police verification of vendor security personnel and periodically auditing all contractors for ongoing compliances.
- Conducting Security investigations and preparation of Incident report.
- Tracking of Material movement and stock of Lost and Found.
- Handling emergency situations with efficiency (i.e. fire, evacuations, customer complaints/ human crises etc.). Ensuring an effective emergency preparedness /disaster management plan is in place, along with an ERT- Emergency Response Team.
- Conducting Security Risk Assessment & planning effective Guarding Strategies.
- Conducting Mock Drills on medical emergencies, Bomb Threats/Search Handling, Riots etc.
- Preparation of monthly security MIS.
- Keeping yourself updated by attending training sessions and review publications and audio-visual materials to become and remain current on the principles, practices and new developments.
- Ensuring all vendor support security personnel always maintain high discipline standards in Brookfield properties.
- Assisting the Security Manager in preparing reports, data and circulating to concern as per requirement and for day-to-day operations.
- Raise request for procurement of material with Security Manager at the shortest time as per set process.
- Be punctual on duty & lead by example.
- Accept additional responsibilities given by management from time to time
- Ensure material movement within respective clusters are checked & verified before allowing movement
- Ensure Following for SOC.
Access Control. Equipment Health. Maintenance of Equipment. Information Security. Communication. Availability of Emergency Folder with Emergency Contacts. Fire Safety.
