Mission
As a Chapter Section Lead, you will focus on developing capabilities for your team members that align with the vision. You will encourage your team to self-define their career journey and seek ways to enable development opportunities in the direction of the journey. You will have an understanding of the roles within your section to provide mentorship when needed.
What you’ll be working on / Your key responsibilities
The Security, Quality and Compliance (SQC) chapter includes capabilities to test and validate the software produced, aligned with assurance and controls to maintain the requisite level of quality. We are currently looking for a Section Lead for Quality Engineering (QE) capability (cluster) to partner with Quality Assurance and the product/stream-aligned teams. QE is bringing together different capabilities of today (Testing, Validation, parts of Security and Quality Assurance) to be able to define together with the PM and the team the strategy for the SDLC process end-to-end (incl. Change Management, Testing and Validation). The goal is to make the setup of the products with processes and the necessary toolchain as efficient, lean and automated as possible including Built-in Quality. As a quality engineering section lead, you are responsible for leading a team of quality engineers to ensure quality is built into the product validation process.
Your responsibilities as Team Lead are summarized in the following points:
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT AND PARTNERING
Engage with business and technology stakeholders understanding requirements.
Understand the current and future needs of the internal customers in order to develop the strategic direction of the Security, Quality and Compliance department along with leadership by exploring and implementing new strategic capabilities to stay “evergreen”
Ensure that resources are available for the demand intake process in order to meet stakeholder needs and priorities.
LEADERSHIP AND INFLUENCE
People Management and Coaching
Evaluate, promote, coach, and develop team members
Seek, evaluate, and act on feedback on team members
Lead, guide, and manage a global team of testers producing various testing artifacts, documents, and best practices.
Create an environment in which team members thrive on stretch goals.
Work in an Agile delivery model overseeing team's agile delivery metrics and optimizing delivery lead times.
Resource and Portfolio Management
Co-create and maintain strategy and workforce planning to define and build up the right capabilities and equip people with the skills, tools, and standard approaches to deliver functional excellence
May serve as a squad member to tackle “real work” on business opportunities as any other chapter member
Allocate talent to different roles in squads and ensure that they are deployed to value-creation opportunities.
Monitor, analyze, and improve the demand intake process to optimize effective people mobilization of both FTE and external workforce.
Capability and Practice Development
Foster an environment where standards and best practices are developed and shared.
Responsible for implementation and adherence to frameworks and practices
Research industry trends and upkeep knowledge and expertise in this area and new technologies like continents quality, continuous validation, AI, automation, Machine Learning
Your qualifications and experience:
Should have 12+ years IT industry experience and 7+ years of IT Quality Engineering.
Must have 3+ years of experience in directly managing Quality Engineers, especially in regulated industries.
Hands-on experience in Quality Engineering capability is a must, including leading the teams in a given area.

Ability to empower teams and individuals to act autonomously and hold them accountable.
